"what kind of expired shit did you eat for you to come find me first?" daeyeon crossed her arms with her right eyebrow raised.
she looked really nonchalant outside but she was actually feeling really tingly inside. she felt happy that jungkook came looking for her despite the fact that he's back to the jerk she first met at the library.
"don't worry. i came because our professor wanted us seniors to have a joint project with a hoobae" jungkook said and avoided eye contact. "and i was wondering...i was wondering...aish!"
daeyeon smirked. jungkook was actually getting flustered around her! its about time!
"you were wondering what?" she tapped her foot to make him more anxious.
"i was wondering...if...if you..."
"come on, jeon. i don't have all day" she said and tapped on her watch. "i have classes in like 5 minutes and i nee — "
"i was wondering if you could do the project with me!"
"and why would i do that? whats in it for me?"
"isn't spending some alone time with me enough?"
daeyeon was surprised jungkook has this little arrogant side to him. she found how he was trying so hard to be all tough...cute.
"touché" she mumbled. "fine. my apartment. 4pm. bring food and dont be late"

jungkook sighed as he watched his precious money get taken away by the cashier. he decided to just buy a box of pizza for later when he gets to daeyeon's house. he cannot believe he's even spending money for the little witch.
after he got the pizza he ordered, he made his way to her apartment which was thankfully near here. he rang the doorbell and there appeared daeyeon in her bunny pajamas.
"what the hell are you wearing?" jungkook asked, slightly amused.
"do you like it? it is your family" she winked and laughed. "get in"
he placed the pizza on the center table and launched himself to the couch. now that he's thinking about it, he's never been inside daeyeon's apartment before. it was a simple apartment that was cozy and really homey.
"where's your roommate? wendy, was it?"
"yeah. she's always out performing every night so she won't be back until maybe midnight" she replied and sat beside him.
"so we have the whole house to ourselves for 8 whole hours?"
"why are you asking that? don't you try to go and plan something!" daeyeon said and jokingly hugged herself.
jungkook rolled his eyes. "don't even mind about it. i have my standards"
daeyeon scowled at that. is he saying i don't fit his standard? this hoe!
"enough talk. lets get this started" jungkook took all the materials they needed and went on with the project.

"hey i was thinking if we add something ㅡ " jungkook stopped mid-sentence when he saw that daeyeon was already off to dreamland.
daeyeon was asleep, with a half-eaten pizza in her hand. jungkook chuckled at how her mouth was slightly open, and how she was snoring ever so slightly. he took her pizza and leaned her on his shoulder so she could sleep a little more comfortably.
he looked down at the girl sleeping beside her. he thought back on the days he's been being mean to her. he still couldn't believe why she was still being nice to him. why she still says that she likes him even when he tries so hard to push her away.
until now, jungkook doesn't understand what she saw in him. he thinks that he's just boring, just someone plain. sometimes too strict and too mean around other people who tries to get too close to him, just because he isn't used to the idea of actually trusting people.
he's only ever trusted jimin and namjoon. and that took guts to do. how could she do the same to daeyeon when she wants more than just his trust? he's afraid both of them are gonna hurt in the end.
jungkook glanced at his watch and saw that it was already past midnight but he knew they had to finish their project first. so he had no choice but to wake her up to finish it.

"we're done! i can sleep now!" daeyeon cheered once they finally finished their project.
"good job, dae" jungkook nods at her and stands. "i'll get going now. its late"
daeyeon stands with him and brings him to her door. "sure, get home safe"
she was about to close the door when his hand stopped her. "what? did you forget someth ㅡ "
his warm lips crashed into hers. she was taken aback. her eyes were wide-open because he just did it out of nowhere. but afterwards her eyes softened and she slowly closed them and kissed back.
