Trixie was dragged into camp by her neck by Shrew and the rest of the patrol. Clearly, they hadn't heard Iron, or else they wouldn't have treated her like this. The wolves viciously snapped and snarled at her. Iron was carried in on the backs of two of the stronger deltas in the patrol.
Shrew howled on top of the Alpha's Perch, "Trixie is being charged for the attempted murder of Iron-er-Alpha... The punishment is DEATH." there were echoes of snapping and growling through the sandy hollow, filled with rage at the fox. Shrew grinned gleefully,
"Moon, Daisy, come here."
The two female deltas stepped forward, teeth bared and ears flattened, their hackles were raised.
"Kill this traitor and rid this poison from our pack."
Daisy and Moon lunged forward, attacking lethal spots on Trixie, such as her neck and belly. An anguished whimper stopped them, "Stop... I-it wasn't h-h-her... Foxes come...Bigger group... Tried to kill m-me... After T-T-T-Trixie..."
Trixie yelped, blood gurgling in her throat, she was bleeding heavily, "They're here, after me.."
There was a huge flash of ginger, red, and gray, and hundreds of foxes surrounded the pack of coyotes. The battle-scarred Alpha stepped forward, a snarl on his face. "Give us what we came for, or else, your pack will suffer at our paws."
Shrew grinned maliciously, "Take her, she's of no use to us anymore."
The Beta fox and four deltas grabbed Trixie, and were everything but gracious towards her, and dragged her into the woods, leaving a trail of blood. The group of coyotes threw smart remarks, snickers, and insults after her. Iron whined and sat up, dragging himself after them, unnoticed by any of the pack. It wasn't until at least ten minutes later until someone noticed,
"Where'd Iron go?"
