Trixie woke up to a group of foxes gathered around her and blood trickling over her eye. She stood up shakily. "She's awake." the fox standing on the high up rock growled. "Alpha, do you want us to drive her out?" one of the foxes asked. "No, we need more members to this pack." he leapt down. "As for you... " Alpha looked up. "Omega!" a scrawny and tiny fox ran up. "Permission to speak, Alpha." she squeaked. "You have my permission until the next sunrise. But, you no longer have to ask, because you are promoted to hunter." the fox wagged her tail. "Thank you Alpha." Alpha turned to Trixie. "You are the new Omega, the lowest rank in the pack. You eat last and do whatever we ask, no matter what it is. Now you shall be marked the Omega. Beta, come here." he growled. "Wha-" Trixie was knocked aside and pinned to the ground. "Now, you will be branded as the Omega, scarred for life so you know forever." he leapt forward, tearing his teeth into her leg. Never had Trixie experienced so much pain. The Beta leapt off of her and the Alpha licked his fangs. Trixie backed away, shaking. "What was that for?" she growled. Beta slammed her paw across Trixie's face. "You don't have permission to speak, Omega." The whole pack looked at her. She blushed. "We'll show you to your den." Beta shoved her forward and showed her a chilly and uncomfortable looking cave.  "You sleep here."

Trixie was curled on the cold stone floor, crying into her fur. "I don't know what I did to deserve this..." she sniffed.
