----Vaishali's POV ---

---5 years later---

"Momma!" Resham yelled.

Abhay kya hua?

"Yes?" I asked.

"Di won't let me watch my show," he complained.

"Soniya, let him watch it nah," I said.

"Par mera show bi on hai," she said.

"Okay, idea. Why don't you go and watch it inside," I said.

"Fine," she said and left.

---Shehry's POV ---

My game is on and both of the kids we're fighting over the tv so I took the one inside.

I saw Soniya walk by and into the backyard.

What happen to her? I turned it off and went to see her.

"Hey, kya hua?" I asked.

"Kuch nahi," she said.

"Wow, abh meri beti mujhsa jhoot bol rahi hai," I said.

"I feel like you guys don't love me anymore," she said.

"Why princess?" I asked.

"Because Resham is your real son. I'm just an adopted girl," she said.

"What? Pagal hai kya?" I asked.

She just looked the other way. I knew she did that when she started crying.

"Princess, look at me," I said and she did.

See! I was right.

"Hey, don't cry. I love you as much as I love Resham, if not more. To me, well to us your our first child not him," I said.

"Pakka?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Thank you," she said.

I hugged her.

"Chal, you can watch your show," I said.

"Okay," she said and left.

It honestly hurt me that she would think that.

I went inside and sat with her.

"What're you watching?" I asked.

"Dancing with the stars," she said.

"Okay," I said.

"You'll watch it with me?" She asked and I nodded.

''Thank you," she said.

"Princess, stop saying thanks," I said.

"Okay," she said.

We were about halfway done when she gasped.

"Kya hua?" I asked.

"I forgot to do my homework," she said.

"Soniya, how many times do we tell you homework first?" I asked.

"I'm sorry," she said.

"It's okay. Now go and then I'll take you for ice-cream," I said.

"Resham as well?" She asked.

I didn't know what she wanted to hear.

"Please," she said.

"Okay, we'll all go. Now go do your work," I said and she left.

After about an hour or so we all left, minus Vaishali because she didn't want to go.

We got home after about an hour and a half. We were done in about a half hour then we took an hour to just chill around.

Get it, ice-cream so chill?

"What're you looking at?" I asked Vaishali asked.

"Why'd you marry me?" She asked.

Did I forget something? Anniversary? No
Birthday? No

"Why're you asking?" I asked.

"Just answer me," she said.

"Okay, it was for.." I said but stopped myself from going on.

"Why'd you stop?" She asked.

"I think we both know," I said.

"Ya, we do. This was a crazy journey we had. Wasn't it?" She asked.

"It sure was," I said.

I was going to say something when Resham walked in.

"What happen?" We both asked.

"I fell," he said.

His knee was bleeding.

"I'll get the first aid kit," Vaishali said and was leaving when Soniya came in with it.

"Soniya, can I talk to your for a second?" I asked and she nodded.

I took her outside.

"What happen?" I asked.

"He fell," she said.

"Pakka?" I asked.

"Are you thinking I did something?" She asked.

"No. It's just that he's lying sometimes and I saw you guys playing with other kids," I said.

"Oh, you thought someone pushed him?" She asked.

I nodded.

"No. I told him to never lie to you guys," she said.

"Now, that's my girl," I said and we went back inside.

"Bhai kaha hai?" She asked.

"He went to lay down," Vaishali said.

"Okay," Soniya said and left.

"Don't be mad at her," I said.

"I'm not," she said.

I went on and told her everything I just talked about.

"I'm not mad," she said again.

"Come here," I said.

"Why does she think we don't like her?" Vaishali asked.

"I talked to her about that already," I said.

I went on and told her everything about that conversation as well.

"Thank you," she said.

"It's not a problem," I said.

"No. Thanks for waiting for me, you know marriage wise," she said.

"Well, about that," I said.

"I know. I'm still so happy now, everything happens for a reason," she said.

"True. And I guess it sometimes just works out for the best," I said.

"Sometimes," she said.

"Just our luck," I said and kissed her.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too," she said.
