Zoey's P.O.V.

It was almost midnight and my head was still spinning. What does this person want from me? I'm just confused should I watch my dad? Or is that a bad thing?

I got up out of my bed and looked out the window. I saw nothing. What is my dad up to? I need to stop, the person may be lying to me. They might just be trying to scare me.

I decide to go back and lay down then all of a sudden I hear a noise. I think it was the back door slam. I had to go out there.

I looked at the window to make sure that he was not on the side of the house. I went downstairs and went out of the front door and went around to the back of my house. My dad was talking to someone.

The other person was quiet, I couldn't really hear their conversation. My dad started talking again the other person answered. It was Logan.

Zoey's Dad's P.O.V.

Everything was starting to become clear. The reason the accident happened. The reason why I almost died. The reason why Logan left. Everything now makes so much sense.

It was about be midnight. I hope he got my message. I need to speak to him. I got up and went outside. I stood there and here he came. "Logan, I'm really glad you came."

"Why am I here?"

"We worked for the same people. We are running from the same people. We both want out."

"I'm already out."

"You think you are but you aren't. Kid you don't get it you are never out. They will find you and take what you love the most. They are the reason I got in an accident with Zoey. They tried to kill me once and they will not give up."

"They came after me the week you woke up."

"So they are here. They are closing in Logan. We need to put a stop to this."

Zoey's P.O.V.

I am confused. Someone tried to kill my dad. They are coming after Logan. What is going on? I want answers. I need answers. My phone vibrated in my pocket.

Unknown: I told you I was trying to protect you.

Me: Protect me from what?

Unknown: The people who are after your dad and Logan.

Me: Why are they after them? What happened?

Unknown: Zoey I wish I could tell you but it's better if you just ask.

Me: Who are you though?

Unknown: You will find out soon....

I didn't know how to respond to that. Is it someone who is after my dad and Logan? Or are they really trying to protect me. I'm not sure what to believe but I will ask for questions.

I walked over to where my dad and Logan are. They stared at me. I knew I shouldn't be out here but I need answers.

"What is going on? I need answers and I'm not taking no. You guys are going to tell me."

My dad said," Zoey it's better if you don't know."

"Don't you dare tell me what's better. Someone is trying to kill you guys. So I want to know who and why."

Logan just stayed quiet and sat down. My dad said,"I once was involved with the wrong people before I met your mom. I was part of a gang. They worked with drugs and killed people and no I never killed anyone. I met your mom and I changed I wanted out, and they wouldn't let me out but I wanted to start a life so I left. Now they are still after me, they are the reason why I got in the car accident. Also Logan got involved with them. When his mom sent him away he met them since Logan was friends with you they watched him so he moved and they followed."

"Dad what do we do now?"

"We have to make sure you are safe that's why you are moving."

"I am not moving. I am not leaving Logan. I don't care what might happen I can not leave here dad."

"Zoey I just want to make sure you are safe."

"Dad I will be safe. I am not leaving and nothing will make me leave. We just need to all stay together."

I felt bad Logan was not saying anything. He looks so scared. I went over and hugged him. I grabbed his hands and dragged him inside. I made us some popcorn and we went upstairs.

I went into my bathroom and changed. I remembered I had one of his shirts so I put it on. I went out of my bathroom and put on a movie. I cuddled with Logan and realized that everything is about to change but the safest place I feel is in Logan's arms.
