Imagine:
"Have a great day," you say to your last customer in line. You work at the local supermarket and your afternoon shift just ended. You get changed and say goodbye to your boss. When you walk outside, you see your boyfriend, Will, sitting on the curb waiting for you.
"Hey, Coralie! I thought we could go for a walk!" You're tired, but he looks so adorable. When he stands up to hug you, you notice some shopping bags from your store.
"What's in the bags," you ask innocently. "Don't get ahead of me, now." He grabs your hand and the two of you walk down the street. He takes you to a clearing near a lake. Underneathe a large tree, he puts down the bags and takes out a red and white checkerboard cloth big enough for two people to sit on. Then, he takes out the food he'd bought at your store and places it neatly on the cloth. Sitting down against the tree, he pats the spot next to him, signaling you to join him. You giggle at his adorable picnic.
"Awe, Will! This is so sweet!" He grins as he asks "Sweeter than Nutella?" He holds the jar up to his face, sending you into a giggle-fest.
After an hour, you've finished your food and are now resting together. His arm is around you and your head is on his shoulder. You sigh as you watch the sun begin to set behind the horizon.
"Coralie?" You smile when he says your name.
"Yes, Will?" He tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear.
"I love you." Your heart begins to beat twice as fast as normal.
"I love you, too, Will." He looks you in the eyes as your lips touch underneathe the night sky.
