Imagine:

"Just a second!!!" You know there's someone at the door, but you don't look perfect yet. With great care, you finish applying the liquid eyeliner you'd bought just for tonight. You've never used the liquid kind before. You blow on your eyes to dry the make up before finally stopping the incessant knocking by opening your front door.

"Are you coming or wha-" Your date for the evening, Cole Pendery, is rendered speechless at the sight of you. You're wearing your favorite light pink dress with one inch matching heels and a heart-shaped light pink bow in your hair. On your wrist, you don the bracelet you received from him on your one year anniversary, the inside of which is engraved with the words Love lasts forever.

"I, uh...you look...just...wow!" You smile shyly and ask him if what he said was a good or bad reaction.

"DEFINITELY GOOD," he blurts out. As soon as he says it, he covers his mouth, embarrassed by his lack of control. He blushes, and you kiss him softly on the cheek.

"You know, you're adorable most of the time." "Most of the time?" He pouts at you, and you can't help but giggle.

"Alright, all of the time. Goofball." You smile at him and he smiles back before he opens the back door of a car for you. You're puzzled.

"Cole, this isn't your car?"
"I know. Say hi to our chauffer for the evening!"

As soon as you look at who's driving and at what he's wearing, you lose it. Will is in the front seat dressed in german lederhosen with a little dutch-boy hat. He is also wearing legitimate clogs. You can barely breathe as Cole climbs in the back seat with you and shuts the door.

"Onward, Vilhelm!" Will smiles WAY too big for his face and replies "Yah, yah! On vee go!"

Once you reach the restaurant Cole made reservations at, 'Vilhelm' steps out of the car and opens the doors for the two of you. You exit the vehicle and Will drives off. The restaurant has a rating of five stars. You're blown away.

"Cole, this must have been SO expensive!" He smiles and kisses your forehead. Leading you up to the podium outside, a familiar face steps out in a professional tuxedo.

"How may I assist you this evening, sir," Dana asks Cole.
"We should be on the list. Under Pendery?"
"Ah, yes. Follow me." Dana leads you to a table inside. As you look around at the absolute splendor of the red velvet walls and almost golden decor, you realize there are no other patrons in the place.

"Cole, are we the only ones here?"
"Is that okay?"

You don't normally get bashful around him, but tonight was a special occassion. He pulls out your seat for you and pushes it back in as you sit down. After talking for a bit, you ask "Should we be getting menus?"

"I've got all of this taken care of, my love. Uh, Garson!" He motions for the waiter to come over. You recognize the boy immediately. It's Gabe, attempting to speak in a French accent and failing miserably. You had to laugh, just a little.

"Oui, monsieur? Are you and zeh lehdee ready for zeh first course?"
"Yes. Thank you, Garson." Gabe walks away.

Cole turns to you and chuckles as Gabe continues to play his part. "Are you having fun?" You happen to spot Will and Dana out of the window and you laugh.

"I'm having an amazing time. Thank you, Baby. This is wonderful." You gaze straight into his eyes and try to figure out what he's thinking. Before you can say or do anything else, 'Garson' is back with a HUGE plate of pasta.

"Bon appetite!"

Gabe walks away and you roll your eyes. Cole catches you and says "What?" You stare at him for a moment before saying "Lady and the Tramp? Really?" He pouts adorably.

"I thought it was romantic."
"It is! Incredibly cheesy, but sweet nonetheless."
"Really?"

You take his hand in yours and kiss it. "Yes, really." He retracts his hand and replies "HEY! That's MY job!" You giggle and twirl your first mouthful of spaghetti.

Just as you're about to have your "Lady and the Tramp" moment, Dana walks out and whispers something to Cole who attempts to swat him away. Dana insists, so Cole groans and bites the strand in half.

"I'm sorry, Sweetheart. This will just be a moment." You watch them walk to a corner out of your earshot, but you can definitely see Cole's frustration at whatever it is Dana says to him. Your date walks back to you, clearly upset.

"What the matter, Cole?"
"I wanted tonight to be perfect, but there's been a slight hitch. Do you mind if we skip the dessert I had planned?" He looks worried about how you'll react, but you just shrug your shoulders and say "No problem! I was getting a bit full anyway."

As you exit the restaurant, Cole takes his blazer off. The temperature is dropping as the hours grow later and he doesn't want you to catch cold, so he places the jacket over your shoulders and walks you to a nearby park.

You're taken aback as you watch the reflections of the stars above dance on the lake you're walking past. In the distance, you see a small light begin to twinkle. Soon, you realize it's a gazebo being slowly illuminated by candlelight. Who was lighting the candles? None other than Mr. Dalton Rapattoni.

Cole steps out in front of you. "I'm sorry our meal was cut short, but apparently, it's going to rain a little later, so I wanted to do this while we still had a clear sky." He extends his hand out to you. Taking his, he leads you into the small structure and pulls you into him. His arms around your waist, he whispers "I love you." Not a moment sooner, Dalton begins to play a very beautiful version of "No One Else Comes Close" by Backstreet Boys. You put your head on Cole's shoulder and slow dance.

In a very soft tone, you ask "I know our one year anniversary was a week ago, but what is all of this for, if you don't mind me asking?"

Suddenly, he spins you out and you extend perfectly, like a professional ballerina before spinning back into him. You end up with your back to his chest with his arms still around you as he says "Tonight is the anniversary of the first time you called me your boyfriend." You turn your face to see his. His brown eyes said it all, and your lips softly met his. "So, is this the best night ever, baby girl?"

"Yes," you say with one hundred percent certainty. "This is officially the best night of my entire life. I love you more than words could ever express, Cole Pendery."

He smiles as your head nuzzles into his neck. "I love you more, Beautiful."
