Chapter 11

Hope

I found Sebastian in the dining room. When he saw me, he raised his eyebrows and motioned me to sit down. I could barely contain my rage.

As soon as I sat, I demanded him about the situation with omegas, whilst being on the edge of killing him with my bare hands. He had the nerve to laugh at me, but then he contained himself and said,,"He deserved it. Mind your own business."

That was it for me. I faced my palm to him because of an instinct and it let out a energy burst which kicked him onto the wall and held him there. I heard a low dark chuckle somewhere where he had landed.

"Why did you let your rage that was caused by me out on an innocent boy?" I asked him.

He started to smirk, but I squeezed his neck with the magic and his eyes widened for a second before he gulped.

"I-" he croaked out.

"You what?" I demanded.

"I-I'm sorry," he said.

"Sorry because of what?" I demanded further.

"Because of Samuel. I will make it up to him," he said clawing at his neck. I released him.

"Good. And I will tell Samuel to tell me if you bully him again. Is that clear?" I said turning my back to him.

"Y-yeah," he answered.

I was about to exit the room when Destiny charged in.

"Hey, Sebastian, there are some royal soldiers at the gate, have you seen Elizabeth?" but then looked at me and the crumpled Sebastian. Her eyes went big for a second, but she quickly dismissed it.

"Hey Liz, you and Zaphkiel need to run. These guards were sent here because the queen sensed wielders to be here, and sent them to recruit you. I believe you don't want that, do you?" she explained.

I turned to back Sebastian, "So, Your highness, we need to go. Tell Samuel what I told you yourself."

He raised a hand with a expressionless face. I sneered but looked away.

"Have you told Zaphkiel?" Destiny nodded. "Then we need to fly."

Destiny looked at me weirdly.

"We need to go," I corrected myself. She nodded again.

We rushed to my room, and I packed my bags. In the hallway we met Zaphkiel.

'We're flying,' I told him in his mind. He looked at me and nodded subtly.

Suddenly Merida came around a corner with two backpacks and threw one at Destiny. She caught it and said, "We're coming with you."

"What?" Zaphkiel and I said in chorus.

"Since when are you coming?" I asked. They smiled like crazy women.

"Since this morning. We don't have anything to do here anyway so we're coming too!" Destiny said cheerfully.

Zaphkiel looked grim, "I guess you could come, but Liz," he looked at me questioningly. Should we still fly? was the question in his eyes.

This would be a hard question. I sat down on the floor and thought things over. Merida started to say something, but stopped when Zaphkiel shushed her.

'What do you think, Celestia?' I asked her.

'The real question is if we can trust them or not.'

I nodded at that statement.

'You could test if we can trust them. Look into their minds and find information about you.'

'I'll find out if we can trust them,' I mind linked Zaphkiel. He just looked at me and blinked.

I focused on Merida first. Immediately I was in her mind. I commanded the thoughts about me and Zaphkiel to come forward. They swam in front of me and I read them. There was only pure friendliness and trust. Okay, I could definitely trust her.

Next I looked into Destiny's mind. Her thoughts were more colourful. She admired mine and Zaphkiel's abilities and definitely trusted us. But after the picture of Sebastian crumpled in a corner, she had decided to be a bit more careful. She knew that Sebastian had to have done something really bad to anger me. Smart girl. She wanted to come and support us and explore the world. Her goal was to just get out of here.

I opened my eyes and sighed happily. Then I turned to face Zaphkiel, "We can trust them."

"You sure?" he asked me.

"Yeah. Let's go."

I motioned Destiny to take the lead, and we all ran after her. I ran next to her and said, "Take us somewhere where there is enough room to take flight."

She looked at me with a calculating look, but nodded.

We arrived at a wide open rooftop, and Zaphkiel started preparing himself for the flight, securing all his things and helped others to do the same. I gave my backpack to him and relaxed for a second. When they were ready, Zaphkiel looked at me.

"So guys, there's a way we can get away really fast, but it's a secret. You absolutely can't tell anyone," I told Des and Merida. Destiny nodded, but Merida's shoulders went stiff, and I couldn't blame her for being cautious.

I let Celestia into control. I felt myself growing bigger and my skin turning into purple scales. From my back wings broke through my skin and extended into huge lighter purple wings which looked like they were made for war. My nose turned into a snout and I let out a puff of smoke. My tail whipped next to me and I took a stance to ready myself for riders. All the while I looked at Destiny's face.

Her face showed confusion at first, but then she broke into a huge smile and extended her arms.

"This explains it all!" she cheerfully said. I whipped my tail and snorted at her with an attempt to smile. She giggled.

They climbed onto my back, but Merida hesitated. I, of course, felt it, and looked at Zaphkiel with a knowing look. He understood, and started calming her and explaining what was going on. I straightened my back and bounced into the air.

Destiny, who was closest to my head, lowered herself near my ear and said, "We should probably go to Indobi, which is the closest town. I think that you are the actual heir to the throne, right?"

I looked at her for a second and nodded, before focusing at the front of me again. Below us we could see the soldiers who were searching the castle through and out and shouting in confusion when they didn't find us.

I was going to turn away from the castle, but then I saw Sebastian charge through some doors to a balcony to look at me. I was getting worried about if he would sell us out, but his expression turned calm when he saw me. Then he bowed at me. That came as a big shock to me. It was clearly a symbol of siding with me.

The next moment the King, which I concluded from the crown on his head, appeared next to him, also eyeing me. I understood immediately that Sebastian must've seen through my lie of being a normal wielder and told him everything, and I flew a circle in the air to position myself more upward, but so my riders didn't fall off. I stretched out my wings, put a paw on my heart and bowed my head to him.

Sebastian said something to him, and he nodded at him. Then the King also put his hand to his heart and bowed slightly. I puffed out a cloud of smoke, and went in the direction Destiny told me to go.

This looked promising. I already had allies. Maybe I could do something about this world.
