Chapter 14
Apparently sky diving can be dangerous
"So where are we going next?" I asked my companions while we ran in the forest trying to get away from the city.
"I think if we searched in Everil, we could find another ally?" Zaphkiel answered uncertainly. Everil? Is that another town or something?
"Yeah, we might," Destiny said while thinking deeply.
"What are you guys talking about?" Emma suddenly asked. I jumped a little at the sudden question.
"Oh yeah we have to explain this to you too," I muttered under my breath. Zaphkiel and Des nodded their heads in unison.
"Uh, well, you see-" I started, but didn't know how to explain this properly.
"Hey Zach, aren't we far enough from the town? Can we fly now?"
Destiny laughed a little; "Nice going, Liz."
"Fine, yeah, we'll explain this. Let's take a short break," Zaphkiel seemed kind of angry. I couldn't blame him, though.
We stopped and I swung my backpack in the direction that Zaphkiel was in. He almost caught it, but before he could, it landed right on his face. He shot me a glare, which I sweetly smiled at.
'Hey Cel, you ready?' I asked her softly.
'I'm always ready little one,' she said and we transformed.
"This will never get old," Destiny said with a smile, and Emma, who had been looking at our surroundings turned at me and gasped softly.
When Cel was done, she gave me control back as usual. I thanked her in my mind, and stretched my wings out to ready myself. Then I cleared my head with a shake.
'I'm ready,' I sent them this thought and laid down on my belly whilst folding my wings.
"Khalon?" Emma asked suddenly.
"What?" Zaphiel asked her back.
"Is that... Khalon? Or at least do you know where Khalon is?" her questions rained down on us.
'I'm still me, you know.' I said in their minds and huffed.
"Who's Khalon anyway?" asked Zaphkiel.
"My mom's dragon's son who disappeared many years ago. You know, the legendary earth dragon, Khalon?" Emma had tears glinting in her eyes.
"Oh, I've heard of him. We don't know where he is. I think you must be confusing Liz's dragon for your own, sorry," Destiny placed a hand on Emma's shoulder.
'Khalon is alright. She'll meet him when the time is right.' Celestia told me.
'Emma! Celestia, my dragon, just said that you'll meet Khalon sometime soon!' I told her cheerfully, clearly attempting to lift her moods. She smiled at me gratefully.
Destiny then climbed onto my back, and it seemed to me that she had grown used to being in the front where she could see everything.
Emma sat behind her, and as usual Zaphkiel was positioned last.
'Well I'll have to concentrate on flying so you guys better tell her all we know.'
"Okay. Destiny, you want to begin?" Zaphkiel asked her as I jumped off the ground and flew into the sky. I carefully positioned myself to fly above the few clouds that were there.
Silence.
"Des?" Zaphkiel asked again, but the wolf princess had already fallen asleep on my back. I chuckled which kinda sounded like a laugh-growl coming from Celestia's form.
