Chap 2 "Cheering Alli Up"

Niall's POV
I knew I had to give Alli some space after Zayn's death. He was the only family she had left other than her aunt. The fact that it had been two weeks, worried me. Her aunt had called to see if she would talk to me since I was close to Zayn. I went to the café and went to Alli's room.
"Allison?" I asked.
"Niall," she attacked me with a hug.
"Alli, are you okay?" I asked. "I've been getting worried."
"Well, I have no idea," Alli nodded. "With Zayn gone, I don't know what to do. You know Zayn and I were close."
"Come with me," I grabbed her hand.
"I'm staying in my room," Alli nodded.
I saw the fresh plate of food in her room. "Okay," I sighed as she sat on her bed. "At least eat something." I sat next to her with the plate in my lap. "Your aunt made you a burger and fries." Alli took a fry and ate it. "You know that's not what I meant."
"I'm not hungry."
"What can I do to make you eat?"
"Niall, I just want my brother back. No one can make that happen."
"Let me try something," I sighed. I saw Alli's guitar in the corner and grabbed it. "Let's see if this works."
"It's not tuned," Alli nodded.
I strummed the chords. "Oh yeah," I nodded as I started tuning. "How long as it been?"
"Three and a half years"
"I think I have it tuned now," I strummed. "That sounds much better."
"You and guitars," Alli smiled. "Never understood that about you."
I started playing the guitar. "I might never be your knight in shining armor. I might never be the one you take home to mother. And I might never be the one who brings you flowers. But I can be the one, be the one tonight," I sang. "When I first saw you from across the room, I could tell that you were curious. Oh, yeah. Girl, I hope you're sure what you're looking for. 'Cause I'm not good at making promises." Alli smiled at me. "But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms. And if you like having secret little rendezvous. If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn't do. Then baby, I'm perfect. Baby, I'm perfect for you." I smiled at Alli. "And if you like midnight driving with the windows down. And if you like going places we can't even pronounce. If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about. Then baby, you're perfect. Baby, you're perfect. So let's start right now."
I stopped. "That's beautiful, Niall," Alli smiled. "It really is."
"You know what?" I looked at Alli. "We never got the chance to tell Zayn that we were together."
"I'm sure he's throwing a fit right now since he's watching over me."
"Allison?" Aunt Cas called. She walked up the stairs. "Oh, Niall. I didn't even see you walk in."
"Just talking, Aunt Cas," Alli nodded. "But I could use a warm meal."
Aunt Cas smiled, "Do you know what you want to eat?"
"Just something," Alli shrugged.
"I'll make you chicken spaghetti if you'd like to wait about forty-five minutes," Aunt Cas nodded.
"That'll be great," Alli nodded. Aunt Cas left. "Thank you."
"I'll talk to you later, Alli," I smiled. "I gotta go."
"Okay," she nodded and I gave Alli a kiss on the cheek. "Come back soon?"
"I'll be back when I can," I nodded.
