Y/n's POV

We started our search in front of Rachel's cave where Kylie had last been seen.

"She was walking this way when i saw her come by here" Rachel said pointing deeper into the forest

"Right" You said and continued to walk further into the woods not caring if any of your friends were keeping up all that mattered right now was that you found Kylie because you felt like it was all your fault that she had run off.

Nico jogged to catch up with you and said " It's not your fault you know"

You looked down at the ground still keeping up your fast pace.

"Yes it is" you said in a quiet voice " that's why i have to find her and make sure she's not hurt because if she is that's gonna be my fault as well"

"This is Jayden's fault not yours" He explained

"Maybe it's not my fault but she is my best friend and if anything were to happen to her..." you stopped but kept walking

"We'll find her i'm sure she's fine, i mean she is a demigod after all" he encouraged

"Right" you said optimistically

You had all walked for about half a mile when you saw a cave opening a green and dark purple aura slightly shining out and you swore you could hear a voice coming from inside. You figured it was just one of the Hecate kids' cave's so you kept walking.

"Y/n!, Nico!, Rachel!" yelled a voice behind us i turned around to see that it was Kylie! I ran right up to her

"Kylie! Are you ok? We couldn't find you and i thought you had completely run away from camp or something i was so worried!" you said hugging her tight

"Sorry i didn't mean to be gone for so long i just ran into the forest and i ended up getting lost thank the gods you came" Kylie explained

"So are you ok after the whole Jayden thing?" you asked

"I'm so over him" she said with a smile then i dropped "he likes you more than me"

You shook your head "come on you know me better than that i wouldn't willingly let him kiss me,he tried but you know epic fail" you said with a smile "Nico just happened to show up so i think Jayden learned his lesson from the beating we gave him" you explained

Kylie just nodded

"What do you say we go back to camp then and get you some dinner?" you say smiling

"That sounds like a great idea" she said

You all walked back to the dining pavilion and ate some dinner since you all hadn't eaten yet.

"You found her!" a voice said behind you.

Everyone turned around and saw Dean running towards you. He stopped right in front of Kylie and gave her a big hug.

"I'm glad you're ok" he said in a relieved tone

"Me too" Kylie said with a grin. And they both laughed.

~TIMESKIP TO AFTER THEIR DINNER~

"Wow it's almost past curfew guys" Dean said looking at his watch

"I guess that means we should probably head back to our cabins" Kylie said yawning

"Alright goodnight everybody!" you said as you and Nico walked in one direction, Kylie and Dean in the other, and Rachel towards her cave as everyone exchanged goodbyes

"See you tomorrow Nico" you say as you walk to your cabin

"Hey Y/n" He quickly said

"Yeah?"

"Would you like to practice some more swordplay with me tomorrow. I figured i should stop taking it easy on you" he said with a smirk

"If you're really that desperate for defeat" you say smiling "Then sure. I'll see you tomorrow" you say continuing to walk back to your cabin

_________________________________________________________________________

You fell asleep easily but it wasn't exactly a peaceful sleep you dreamt of blinding darkness all around and you heard Kylie screaming in the distance but it wasn't a scream it was a cackle a high pitched laugh it went through your ears like razors tearing through your eardrums. Then the dream changed you were hanging by your wrists , which were tied with thin loosely tied rope, from a metal bar your feet hanging about a foot from a dark pool of water. You instantly grabbed the metal bar and wondered how in the world you had been able to even hang from it.

The dark pool stretched all around the room but shallowed and drifted onto black stone. There was only one rectangular opening about a hundred feet away from where the water came up onto the stone but it was covered with wood planks and chained and locked from the inside you assumed it was the same on the outside. At the far right of the cave-like place about ten feet from where you hung was a dark navy blue, almost black sort of rock wall with a thin path that stuck out like a ledge and lead down to another shallow part of the pool. It would have been pitch black if it wasn't for the many bright yellow torches all around. You looked down and saw something move in the water. Then you suddenly shot up in bed sweating and breathing heavy.

'What was that?' you thought to yourself

It was the middle of the night about three in the morning so after bickering with yourself about going back to sleep or not you decided to crash for a few more hours before the morning.
