DAYS POV
I wake up and look at Nights slow breathing. The fight with Ember and Nazari had taken a great toll on her. He sides were torn up and a open wound was on her snout. I walk out the den to get some air when Rowan and Ash catch my attention. They were fighting about something. I tilt my head and walk towards them. "And who is the strongest? That's right me." Rowan boasts. "You're full of yourself" Ash growls back. "Is that a challenge" Rowan sneers his handsome face smirking at Ash. My brother growls and launches at him. "Missed" Rowan says as he dodges the attack. Ash face plants it in the dirt. Rowan walks over to him and puts his paw on his head pinning him to the ground. "Now say that I'm better than you" he growls. Ash grits his teeth "I'm better than you." He says. Rowan growls angrily and I did everything I could to hold a laugh. "Come on Rowan, he said what you told him to say." I chuckle. Rowan glances at me and steps off. "W-well yeah but...." He clears his throat. "How have you been?" He says quickly. He sounded nervous and you could tell he was flustered. I smile "I have been good." I say as I watch him avoid my eyes. "Aww well this is just cute." Ash says smirking. I glance at him my face heating up. I look back at him and see Rowan growling at him. Ash starts singing a song that pups would sing. "Day and Rowan sitting in a tree k-I-s-s-I-n-g." My emotions start as mixing as embarrassing and anger. "Real mature" Rowan says growling. I nod and stay silent. I awkwardly turn and leave not wanting to be near them any more. "Hey Day where are you going?" Rowan asks. "To get a drink" I say as I walk away.
I walk to the river and take a drink of the water. I look up and sigh as I see Night laying in the meadow across the river. I jump on a few rocks and hop to the other side. She was sleeping peacefully. "Hey Night wake up" I whisper. She opens her eyes fast and look up at me. "What are you talking about I wasn't sleeping" she says fast. I roll my eyes "ya know it's not safe out here with the flame pack holding grudges since you killed their lead Warrior" I say with sadness in my voice. "Hey it's not my fault the old man didn't move in time" she says standing "plus the lead assassin is dead so I don't have to worry about her. She was annoying anyway." I hold back my words remembering that I had spared the she wolfs life. "Yeah but that doesn't mean that they will not come back for revenge" She rolls her eyes "oh well" she says as she lays her head on her paws. I turn around as I hear something moving. I see Rye walking towards us. I nod a greeting as we pass each other. He stops me "is everything alright, I heard you to came back from a mission." He says in a worried tone. "Everything's fine, we are just a little tired." I said making a fake yawn. He nods and continues walking towards Night.
I get back to camp and walk over to the pups den. Two of the pups were wrestling each other. "I won!" The ash grey one said. "No fair" the other pup whined. I smile at them as I pass by. I reach a tree and lay myself down in the shade taking in the familiar scents of the territory. When an unfamiliar scent crosses me. "Lightning pack" I growl to myself. I run towards the scent which brought me to a small pond with lily pads and beautiful flowers. I look to the distance and see two grey wolves. That's Ash I think to myself. I watch my brother as he talks to the outsider. I tilt my head in confusion as he shows no sign of hostility. The other I recognized as the beta Female Iruna of the Lightning pack. She showed hesitation by the way she would back up a little. I watch as she nods her head and runs back to her territory. I dash back to the bushes and hide in their dark shade as I watch Ash stand and hesitates and then stops her. I watch him say something that causes Iruna to smile and nod. I tilt my head again and stay put.
I run back to the camp before Ash sees me. As I run I look back to see if Ash was there but saw nothing. I turn my head to look ahead and crash into the familiar grey-white wolf. "What the" Silver said as he looks down at me. He has grown into a strong male. He was about the same size of Rowan just a little smaller. "Oh sorry Silver" I say as I catch my breath. "What's wrong?" He says glancing behind me. "Oh um nothing just getting in some exercise. Nights orders." I say trying to cover up Ashes mysterious meeting. He nods "can I walk you back to camp" he says flashing a handsome smile. "Um sure" I say blushing. We walk back to camp and enter. I stand dumbfounded when I see Ash snoozing under the shade of a pine tree. "Thanks for the company Silver." I say looking at him. "No problem maybe we could go on a hunt together sometime." He says nervously. "Ok it sounds good to me." I say smiling. He nods and turns and walks back to the woods. I turn and walk to Ash "hey what are you doing?" I ask "currently I'm trying to sleep" he says tiredly "why are you tired?" I ask him. "Because I work unlike you" he says. I lay next to him trying to smell him without him noticing. I catch the smell of grass and pond water. "Did you go for a swim?" I asked knowing I pinned him "I guess you could say that. During my patrol I got caught up in the swamp." He says as he yawns "what's with all the questions?" He asks. "Nothing" I sigh. I stand up and walk over to the den. Hmm I think to myself. Tonight I will follow him if he leaves I think to myself.
I feel like Night was more of the Main character when Day is supposed to be. And I also noticed Day is the student of Night. Day, Night xD I think it's funny. Anyway thanks for reading I appreciate it ^-^
