I sit on a log my blue eyes darting from wolf to wolf. Ok let's see who I know I think to myself. "That's Bones the Lead Assassin from the Lightning Kingdom. He is standing next to the other Assassins there's Night, Bones, Lucien, and Nazari." I look and notice a young female sitting next to Night I tilt my head in curiosity.
The young wolf look up and locked eyes with me. I stare into her green eyes she never looks away. I start growling to myself wondering if she is challenging me. She seemed to snap out of her thoughts and looks away quickly. I chuckle to myself at the wolfs shyness.
My partner walks up to me "hey Ember" my partner Hawk says. He is the beta male of my pack. He has a kind personality but when someone threatens him or any of his pack members he goes into rage mode. I smile at him "hey Hawk" I nod my head at him. He sits next to me and we both watch as Kazar and Tanya make their way over here. Tanya was kind but Kazar would always pick fights with Hawk "hello ladies" Kazar says in a mocking tone pointing his insult at Hawk. "Hello fleabag" Hawk spits out. Kazar growls and digs his claws into the soft ground. I look at Tanya and notice her not paying any attention. I look in her direction and catch her starring at Oliver. He was chatting with his partner Forest. I look in Tanya's eyes and see a look of jealousy hidden in her eyes. I was to caught up in studying Tanya's emotions to not notice the argument was getting worse. I look up just as Hawk was grabbed by the neck and chucked at me. His body lands on me knocking me over. Hawk growls an apology before launching himself at Kazar. They both fight teeth tearing and claws scratching. Kazar gets on top of Hawk and starts ripping at his skin behind his neck. I growl and launch myself at him grabbing him by the throat. I pin him down on his back he wines as he shreds his claws in the soft part of my stomach. I wince in pain as I notice blood was spilling down my legs. I release and we both fall back. I growl at Kazar and lick my friends snout.we both glare at him ready in case he attacks. The Mist pack high ranks stand behind Kazar and glare at Hawk and I. I look behind us and see our pack behind us growling at them. I look back at Kazar and growl "this meeting is over." He growls back as he licks his snout and smirks "this is the beginning of war" he chuckles in a insane way. I growl at his words as I howl telling the pack to head back into our territory. They all turned and ran I waited till everyone left and growled at the rest before bouncing off in the direction of my territory.
Nights POV
We run through the woods back to the territory. I look behind me making sure Day was following i notice her jogging by Rowan and Ash I shrug and keep running. We finally make it to the pack when Kazar stalks off in the direction of the kings den. I roll my eyes at the brute as he walks away the fight at the gathering was usually caused by him and Hawk. But this was the first time the beta female Ember ever got caught up in it. I had know she was a fierce wolf but I have never seen her in action. And by the looks of it she was strong and will take your life if she wants. I close my eyes as a tiny voice echoes inside my head. "She would be a tough one to kill" the voice said. I shook my head as the memories of my pup hood flood back. The body of the pup. "You had to kill him" the voice said "he insulted you and your family. He said you were a freak and nothing but a monster." I wine to myself as the pictures flash through my find. I break back into reality when I saw Day starring at me "is everything ok?" She says in a worried tone. I nod "yeah sorry I was just daydreaming" I tilt my head and smile "well the King has ordered us to come" she says wagging her tail. I nod and start walking towards his den. We enter and sit in front of him. Kazar was sitting by the base of the rock smiling. " Kazar told me about how the beta female of the shadow kingdom had attacked him." I nod my head. "I want you and your apprentice to go and kill this so called beta named Ember" the King said "are you up for the task" he asks. I nod my head and smile "it would be my honor" I say while bowing my head to the King. He nods his head in a dismissal motion. We walk out and to the den. "We leave tonight so if I were you I would get some sleep." I say laying down. Day nods and lays in her corner of the small den. We both fall asleep getting rest for tonight.
