I open my eyes and look over at the dark bundle of fur. I watch as her breath rises and falls, I stand and stretch and walk outside. I take a breath of the cold air and look at the night sky. This is when I would like to train in the early morning. I smile and walk back inside I look at Day and nudge her with my paw. She moans and looks up at me, she yawns and stands "come" I say as I walk out. I look behind me and watch Day dragging her feet, her eyes still closed I walk up a slope and into a meadow. She slowly followed behind me. The Mist started coming through the trees. "Attention!" I bark making Day jump she stares at me wide eyed "our training starts now" I say "but it's not even light outside" she complains. "Well do assassins hunt in the daylight?" I ask her already knowing the answer. She shrugs her shoulders and yawns. "Now" I say "close your eyes and count to ten" I say quickly. She does and I hide in the mist. She reaches to ten and looks around. Her eyes widens as she doesn't see me in sight. "You have to use all of your senses to find me" I say moving quickly through the mist. " I have always been bad at hide and seek" she whines. I walk behind her and push her over. She yelps and stands quickly, I shake my head and walk to her and sit in front of her. I give her a lecture about her senses and we did my three step process. "First" I say "wiggle your nose and take a deep breath through it" I say. She breaths in and let's go " then open your eyes and take in the view for ten seconds and close them after" I instruct. She opens her eyes and I count to ten and she closes her eyes. She tells me everything she saw "now take your paw and feel the grass and keep your eyes open and smell everything" she does "wow" she says "that was amazing it's like my eyes can see everything" she says. I smile at her and nod.
The sun started to rise and we walked back to the camp. We walk and I see Rye with Ash he was telling him something. I walk over to them "hey guys" I say happily. "Hey beautiful" Rye says as he smirks at me. "Hey gorgeous" Ash says smiling. I look at him stunned "woah woah woah, not Night she is mine" Rye says to Ash. I blush stunned about the apprentices words. I look at Day and and nod my head to the King and queens den. We walk over and enter. Queen Shira was sitting on the throne talking with Tanya the beta female. "We were summoned" I say to Day. She nods and straightens her back. We walk forward when the queen flicked her tail. We sit down and stare up at the queen. " as you know Night the gathering of all the high ranked wolves of all packs are tomorrow it's a pretty big deal so I want the best behavior." She looks me in the eyes and I nod. Tanya sits next to me and looks up "don't worry my queen I'll make sure that these two stay in check" Tanya says winking. Shira smiles and stands and bows her head. I copy her motion and Day does the same. We walk out of the den and sit by a pile of freshly caught rabbit. I watch Day take a rabbit and look at Tanya she looks down "hide me" she says "why?" I whisper. "Because" she whispers and looks up when the strong male named Kazar walks up. "Hello ladies" the brute says. "Hey Kazar" Tanya says quietly "Tanya I was wondering if you want to take a stroll later tonight by the river." He says
I stand feeling the awkwardness vibrating off of him. I even feel the nervousness coming from Tanya. I look at Kazar and growl, Kazar looks at me in surprise "is this a challenge" he says barring his teeth at me "maybe it I-" "No" Tanya growls as she cuts off my sentence. I look at her shocked then roll my eyes as Kazar keeps growling. "Well I'll see you later then" I said in frustration, I stalk off back to my den. I go inside and lay down. Day goes and sits in her corner starring at me. I shrug "you can go if you want. I'm not a strict mentor. Just think of me as a friend" I say smiling. She nods and runs out the den I watch her leave and rest my head on my paws and drift to sleep.
