"I'll have the steak," my father says, my hands setting down the menu.
"Chicken Caesar," I say, the waiter grabbing the menus and walking out.
My father tries to make small talk and I just nod, not wanting to talk to him. I can feel Harry's eyes on me from across the room and I glance over, scratching my head with my middle finger. He laughs and I grab my drink, taking a sip.
As my father continues talking, I see him glance Harry's way and he smiles.
"Do you remember the Styles family?" he asks, my head nodding again. I'm sure this will turn into my father bringing Harry over here.
"Harry, your friend, is right over there," he says, my eyes looking straight ahead. Before I know it, I feel a body slide beside mine and I look up. Harry grins brightly.
"What's up, Claire Bear?" he grins, my eyes rolling.
"It's just Claire, for fuck's sake," I groan, his arm wrapping around me. I push him away and he laughs, my father smiling at the two of us.
"Just like old times," he says, my eyes rolling.
"Hardly," I state, his eyes glancing to me. I feel Harry grab my hand beneath the table and holds it, my eyebrows frowning as I look up at him.
"Just go with it," he whispers, my eyes watching as he stands and tugs me up.
"Mind if I catch up with her?" Harry asks, my father shaking his head.
"By all means, Harry," he grins, Harry walking towards the sunroom. I follow and he walks out of the building, leading me to the beach.
"You're a dipshit," I say, his lips forming into a smirk. Those damn lips.
"How so, Claire Bear?" he teases, my hand pulling away from his to shove his chest.
"You just had to be here. I should have left when I saw you at the bar," I recall, his head shaking.
"You ever think I just want to hang out with you?" he says, leaning down as we talk. I notice how pink his lips are and his green eyes are focused on me, the height difference his reason for leaning.
"Why the fuck would you want to hang out with me?" I ask, his hands grabbing my waist.
"Oh my God, you're that oblivious," he says, his jaw almost dropping.
"Fuck you! You keep showing up!" I say, his hand running through his hair after he lets me go.
"I can't believe you don't see it," he says, my arms moving up in irritation.
"You expect me to realize something? Because you're shit at helping me out," I say, his shoulders shrugging.
"I'm just...oh my God," he says, his hands setting on his waist. I desperately await an answer, his eyes looking into mine.
"Honestly, Claire Bear," he starts, my eyes watching as his cheeks flush. "You got hot."
I smirk, crossing my arms. "I knew you'd be a pervert."
"I'm not! I just like women, in particular, good looking ones. You are one of them," he defends himself, my eyes rolling as I smile.
"You're unbelievable," I say, his hands grabbing mine.
"Listen to me, just...tell me I'm not good enough and I'll back off like that," he says, my eyebrows frowning.
"Good enough? Hate to break it to you, Tarzan, I'm not a girl who does relationships," I say, his hands squeezing mine.
"Who said I meant a relationship?" he asks, and I look up. He's biting his lower lip, the dark pink color a dead giveaway to his desire. I don't think Harry knows what he's getting himself into and my wants and needs are two very different things.
"I'll hurt you," I say, his hands remaining over mine.
"Does it look like I care? Because you are messing with my mind now that I've seen you grown up," he explains, my head leaning up. I move my lips towards his ear and I feel him lean closer to me.
"You have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Because I can go all night and you'd need to keep up. I don't like to wait," I whisper, letting him go. I look up at him, pupils dilated and lips parted. I smirk and walk back into the country club, proud I've left Harry speechless.
