A new village

I walk the rest of the night, not stopping. I walk in the opposite direction of the man, Zane. This is all his fault. I walk away, farther in. I somehow make it to V/N. I can't stay here. I want to visit my parents' graves, but that could be risky, so I walk on. I make it to another village that is more torn down than mine. No one has lived here for a few years. I found a basement to sleep in. It's old and wet, yes, but it's safe. I shouldn't get sick by this stuff. I hope. I set a noise trap so I will know if someone is close. I curl up in a ball and sleep.

I wake up at night. I get my stuff and go. Don't want to waste the moonlight. I walk for what seems like forever, well, at least the whole night because it's morning. I find a small village. I walk up to a guard.

"Hello, sir, can I stay here tonight?" I ask.

"I don't see why not. I suggest you talk to the Lord. He lives over there." The guard says, pointing towards a house. "He'll have a place for you." I nod.

"Thanks." I say. I walk to the house and knock on the door. A beautiful women, with red hair, and a white, sea green dress answers the door. She has a baby in her arms

"Hello miss. How can I help you?" She asks.

"Yes. I was told to speak to the Lord of the village. I was told he would have a place for me to stay." I answer.

"Oh, yes. The lord is my husband. He should have a place for you. I believe he is in the field. It's not to far from here. It's east of the house. His name is Adam. Mine is Alesa."

"Thank you Mrs. Alesa." I say.

"No problem miss?"

"F/N."

"See you later Miss F/N."

"You too Mrs. Alesa." I walk away to the field. I see a man in dark clothes with sunglasses and an amulet on. I also see a man with red hair, dark armor, and a necklace with the letter Z on it.

"Adam, I'm telling you, it isn't gonna work. We have to wait for Jin to come back to fix it." The red head says.

"Max. I'm telling you it will. Ross made it. Pull the lever." Lord Adam says. The red head shakes his head, sighing.

"Fine." He growls. He pulls a lever (A/N WRONG LEVER !!! Why do we even have that lever?) Water flows from the other side of the field. It fills the gaps in between the crops.

"Yes! It worked! I told you Max!" The Lord shouts.

"Shut up." Max growls.

"Are you butt hurt Max?"

"YES!"

"Excuse me?" I pipe up. The two notice me.

"Hello. I'm Lord Adam. This is Max. How may we help you?" He asks.

"Your wife said you would have a place for me to spend the night."

"I'm sure we have a place. What's your name?"

"F/N."

"Max, is there a spare room in the guard towers?"

"I'm sure we have a spare room. If not, we'll just make Barney sleep with Goat." Max says

"I don't want to inconvenience anyone." I say.

"It's just Barney. He'll be fine." Max says.

"Don't worry about him. Goat and him are friends." Lord Adam says.

"He's friends, with a goat?" I ask.

"Long story." Max says.

"Come. Let's find you a place. Tell Red and Barney to tend to these. You're supposed to be helping Tim." Lord Adam says to me, then Max. Lord Adam walks to me.

"Follow me." He says as he passes me. I take him up on the offer. He leads me to a circular building that is on the boundary of the village. He and I walk to the top. I see others in there.

"Hey Cory. I call him the village wizard because he's so good at building and making this place better, even though he's a guard." Lord Adam says.

"Hello Cory. I'm F/N." I say.

"Hello." He waves.

"That's Emily." Lord Adam points to the girl in armor.

"Hello." She waves. I wave back.

"You met Max earlier. The other guard is Tim. He's out on patrol. That is Barney, speaking of which, go tend to the crops. You've been spending to much time with Goat. He's a farmer."

"I's a goods fighters toos. Plus, Goats needs me." Barney says. He does talk weird.

"For?" Lord Adam says.

"The milkings." He says.

"Just to Barney. If you see Red, have him tag along."

"Ons it."

"Cory, do you guys have a spare room for F/N?"

"No. Sorry." Cory says.

"You can sleep in my room tonight. I'm on patrol." Emily says.

"Thank you." I smile.

"It's no trouble." She smiles.

"Can I help at all?" I ask Lord Adam.

"You could ask my wife, Alesa. You said you met her earlier, didn't you?" He asks.

"Yep." I replie.

"She might need help with our son. Maybe even some sleep."

"Ok. Thank you Lord Adam."

"No problem. By the way, you can call me Adam or Sky, I don't mind."

"Ok I will Sky."

"Sky's his nickname." Cory says. Emily shows me her room and I put my bag in there. I still have my necklace and I'm wearing my father's ring.I bid them goodbye and head over to Alesa. I knock on the door and wait for her to come. When she sees me, she's smiles.

"Hello Miss F/N. How can I help you?" She asks.

"I wanted to see if you needed any help. Your husband said that he didn't need any, so he sent me to you. I want to prepay your husband for his hospitality." I say.

"Oh, thank goodness. I've been very busy. A new baby doesn't help much either." She smiles. She invites me in.

"Can you please watch Mason for me, Miss F/N?" She asks.

"I can. And please. Call me F/N. No miss." I say.

"Sure. You can call me Alsea." She smiles and leaves to do some more work. Baby Mason is playing with some toys in the corner. I walk over to him.

"Hey bud. What do you have?" I ask, smiling at him. He babbles something and holds up a toy solider.

"That's really cool." I say. He laughs. He hands me one.

"You wanna play?" I ask. He shakes his head.

"Ok." I say. We play, a game I'm not to sure what it is. It's funny. Alesa offers me dinner, which I accept. We get to talking a bit. She's really nice. I tell her where I came from, leaving out Phoenix Drop.

"Adam would visit there sometimes. We used to trade with them. I'm sorry for your loss. You can stay here. We'll build you a house and find a job for you. It'll be great!" She says. I think ably it for a minute.

"I like the offer. I'll take it. Thank you Alesa."

"No problem F/N. We're all happy to have you here."

Third person POV (no ones)

F/N grows close with the people of the Budder village. She even takes out a job as a knight. She becomes great friends with the people of the village
