"F/N. I was wondering if you would like to join Adam to go to another village. I know you said you liked adventure, so I figured you would like it." Alesa asks me.

"Sure. I would love to. What village?" I ask

"He didn't say, but it's for a war meeting."

"I don't mind. Who else?"

"I think just you. Everyone else has other things. Max is head guard, so that's a no. Corey is needed to build up our defenses, Emily is organizing it, and Tim isn't a big traveler."

"Ok. I'm up for it. When are we going?"

"Tomorrow. Sorry for the short notice."

"No problem." I hear Mason cry. He must be waking up.

"Do you mind?" She asks. I nod no. Mason likes my singing. It calms him down. I grab Adam's guitar and take it to Mason. I sit down and start to play it. He quiets down and listens. It's a song that many people know in this village. Adam made it.

He calms down. Alesa came in and started to feed him. I smile.

"I'll see you later Alesa." I say.

"Yep." I wave and leave. I head to the room Emily and I share now. She's not a bad roommate. I start to pack a few clothes and a few other things. I get ready to do my patrol.

I put my bag on the horse and Adam and I take off. He still hasn't told me where we are going.

"Come on Adam. At least tell me how long it will be." I whine.

"Hmm. About a day. We'll probably get there by nightfall." He says. As we get closer, things get familiar. I push my hood father down.

"What's the problem?" Adam asks.

"Um.. Well..." I try to stay. I hear Dante's voice.

"Hello Lord Adam. Aphmau is awaiting you. Your guard can join the others." He says.
