At last! Work is over! I grab my purse and rush out the door before Sylvain sees me. I'm dressed in my regular street clothes already. I go to the spot where I meet Catherine after we both get out of work.
When I get to her burger shop, I hear really loud yelling coming from the other side of the street. And there's a food truck. And Catherine is screaming and waving her arms around like a maniac. Oh great.
After ten minutes, Catherine finally comes over dressed in her street clothes.
"Where were you, Catherine?" I say even though I already know.
"I was at work, Jackie," she says disgruntled.
"Oh really? You got off of work, hmph, ten minutes ago?" I sound super sassy.
"Maybe I was working over time!"
"Or maybe I heard you arguing about getting food! You should have waited for me! I'M HUNGRY TOO!"
"You could have gotten in line, there was a long line!"
"UGH, whatever! Let's go to my place and get some food!"
"It's about time!"

As we walk through the door of my house, I say, "I said the stupidest thing in front of Sylvain. Who says, 'Nice shirt! It
compliments your HAIR!'" I emphasize on the "hair" part by flipping my blonde hair."Whatever! I had a complete meltdown when the guys in the food truck did not give me my five burritos and ten sandwiches!" Catherine yells back.
"Oh my God! You have a freaking food problem! This is normal for you!" I say getting louder with every word.
"Are you calling me fat?!" I can tell she isn't really mad because she's smiling. I don't think she ever gets mad. I try so hard not to laugh at her horrible attempt of a poker face. It looks like she's constipated!
"I swear, you should just join the football team!"
"Why the football team?!"
"So you can lose weight." I use finger quotes when I say "lose weight".
"Is that how it's going to be?!"
"You're terrible." I wave her away.
"Sylvain would not approve of this behavior!" she yells at me.
Carl, my annoying older brother, walks in to, hopefully, stop the argument. "Dinner's ready," he mumbles.
"There you go, you finally get your food piggie," I say to Catherine. She stares at me, but then breaks into laughter.
"Piggie? That's the best you could come up with?" she says between her laughing fits. I break into laughter too. We laugh all the way to the dining room and have a delicious dinner. God, I love her. She's great.
