Jacob's POV
Seth and I exchange matching looks of horror.
"Lighten up guys it won't be so bad" Stephanie assures us, patting us on the shoulder.
"Yea that's what you say now" Seth says
"She's right you know, we need food and clothes" Ness says finishing her doughnut.
I can't argue with that I hadn't packed any extra clothes in my rush to get here. And I'm pretty sure that Ness is going to need some new clothes too.
"On a scale of one to ten, one being your mom ten being Alice how bad is Stephanie? You know when it comes to shopping" I ask Ness.
She thinks about it for a minute "about an eight" she says I couldn't help but groan.
"Hey at least we'll get to spend the day together" she said leaning in to kiss me it's a quick peck and I'm glad.
I kind of lose it any time she gets that close to me lately. I had no idea what a good kisser she'd be especially for someone who's never kissed anyone before.
"Uh earth to Jake" Nessie says waving her hand in front of my face.
"Sorry" I say focusing back on her.
"So after we finish off these doughnuts its mall time" Stephanie says with a slightly evil grin.
It's a good thing that Seth and I are so strong because Stephanie and Ness load us down with bags. We've been cloths shopping for about three hours.
"Stef how many dresses do you need to try on?" Seth asks leaning against a wall. "There all the same dress" he says.
"Yes but there different colors" she says twirling around in a green dress.
"Plus the color has to match" Ness adds
"Match what?" I asks
"Everything" Stephanie and Ness say in unison.
"Boys" Stephanie said rolling her eyes, she and Ness shop for about one more hour.
"I don't think I can take anymore" Seth whispers to me
"Hang in there dude" I say.
"Okay I think we're finally done" Ness says
"Thank goodness" Seth says as we make our way back to the car.
"I think we're going to have to drop all this stuff back at home before we go food shopping" Ness observes.
"Yea I don't think we can cram anything else into this car" Seth says squeezing into the back next to Stephanie. After we drop the cloths off at the condo we head to a grocery store close by. We grab two carts and split up.
"Thanks for dealing with me and Stef today" Ness says while I fill the cart with cookies and chips.
"It wasn't so bad" I say pulling her close to me "I mean I got to watch you try on a bunch of hot clothes" I say. She smiles at me while I lean down and kiss her, after a minute she pulls away. "What's wrong?" I ask her.
"Nothing" she says shaking her head
"Come on Ness what's up?" I ask.
"It's just...I can't shake the feeling that someone's watching us" she says looking around.
"Ness no one's wa-" I cut off mid-sentence as I saw her "I'll be right back" I say.
"Where are you-"
"Don't worry I'll be back in a minute" I say kissing her hand.
I walk about two aisles over, I see her leaning up against a shelf.
"You know you should tell your girlfriend to calm down. She sounds really paranoid" Leah says.
"Gee I wonder why. Any particular reason why you're stalking us?" I ask.
"Just wanted to keep an eye on you and Seth" she says
"Well could you back off your freaking Ness out"
Leah rolls her eyes "fine but make sure Seth calls me later" she says.
"Sure" I say
"Well bye" she says walking away.
When I catch up with Ness she's with Seth and Stephanie "hey where did you go?" Ness asks.
"Just to shoo Leah" I say
"Oh? That's who was watching us?" Ness asks relieved.
"I apologize for my sister's stalker ways" Seth says to us
"She was probably just worried about you" Stephanie says to Seth.
"She always is" Seth says rolling his eyes
"Do we have everything we need?" Ness asks
"Yup we're all set" Stephanie says.
"Then off to the register" Seth says pushing their cart.
Ness and I follow behind them, after we pay for everything we load everything into the car.
"So what are we doing tonight?" Seth asks as we're putting the food away.
"We're going to Nighttide" Stef says
"I don't know Stef" Ness says timidly
"What's Nighttide?" I ask
"This club that she's been trying to get me to go to" Ness says.
"Come on it's a great place, and you'll get a chance to meet the locals" Stephanie says.
"The locals?" I say
"It's a special club for you know people like us" Stephanie says.
"People like us?" I ask confused
"Yea you know there's a reason that New York is called the city that never sleeps" Stephanie says.
"Sounds cool" Seth says
"I'll go if Ness does" I say
Ness chews on her lip for a second. She looks at Stephanie then me, I give her a reassuring smile.
"Okay I'm in" she says
"Yes!" Stephanie says high fiveing her.
