Bad Mistakes

Roman

Tonight was Thursday Night Smackdown. We were in Las Vegas, Nevada. I haven't talked to Nikki since Monday, or in other words she hasn't talked to me. She ignores my texts and rejects my phone calls. She wants nothing to do with me, I walk into the catering area with Dean and she gets up and leaves Brie alone at the table. I just want to talk to her and tell her that it was Eva that kissed me, but she won't even look at me. I was in Dean's locker room, trying to figure out ways to get my baby girl back. "Roman you okay?" I looked up at Dean, and shook my head. "What's up then?" "Ugh I'm just trying to find a way to talk to Nikki and let her know that the Eva incident wasn't my fault." He nodded "oh yea that. She told Brie about it. She's really hurt dude." "Yea I know. But only if she knew what happened." He shrugged "okay what did happen?" "Okay I was in your locker room, just watching the show on the tv. Next thing I know Eva Marie busts through the door and she crying. She was saying how sorry she was for being mean to Nikki or whatever. I tried to calm her down but then the door opened and Eva snatched my face and kissed me. By the time I turned around to see that it was Nikki standing there, Nikki was already walking away. And now she's rejecting my call and texts." Dean shook his head "Bro you're in deep trouble, no wonder she's so hurt." "Yea I know. Cause now she thinks that I'm like everyone else, that I don't care about her. But I really do." Brie walked in with Nikki by her side. "Hey babe, I'm just grabbing some things." "Alright babe, hey Nikki." She  smiled at Dean and waved "Hey Dean, how are you?" "I'm super, you?" She shrugged "ugh you know I've seen happier days." She said while looking at me. My jaw tightened. Nikki left the room, while Brie stuck around for about a second. "Hey Roman, how you holding up?" "I'm still trying to get her back Brie. I won't give up so easily." She nodded "good, don't give up because she still loves you." She walked out and closed the door. "She has a match tonight." I looked at Dean, confused. "What?" "Nikki you idiot. She has a tag match. Alicia and Nikki Vs Summer and Emma." "Ohhh" he nodded and walked out of the locker room. I decided I should walk around and figure out how to win Nikki back. I walked from the catering area to the gorilla and back again. On my last walk around the gorilla, I saw Nikki getting ready to make her entrance. She was wearing her blue 'Fearless Nikki' ring attire and warming up for her match. She got up from stretching her legs and she looked in my direction, she looked at me with the saddest eyes. I hurt her badly and all I wanted to do was hug her and make the hurt go away. She put her head down and walked out to do her entrance. I went to the back staircase and decided to watch the match from up there. She started off with Summer. She was dominating the match, Summer tagged in Emma and Emma swung her into the corner, hitting her with a running clothesline. Nikki landed on the mat with a thud. Emma picked her up and dragged her to Emma and Summer's corner. They took turns kicking and punching her. Summer picked Nikki up and tried landing a DDT but Nikki reversed it with a face buster. Summer was down, Nikki crawled to her corner to tag in Alicia Fox. But when she used the ropes to get up, Alicia kicked Nikki right in the mouth, then hopped of the apron and walked backstage leaving Nikki alone, turning their Divas tag match into a Divas handicap. Nikki got up only to get knocked down by Emma and Summer Rae. Emma hit Nikki with a DDT, then she picked her up so that Summer Rae could land a hard roundhouse kick. They both left Nikki in the ring, I ran down the steps and stared at Nikki from the barricade. She stared back at me, holding her mouth because she was bleeding. Her eyes watered and I just shook my head. I jumped over the barricade and got in the ring, she shook her head and rolled out of the ring. She walked up the ramp, still looking at me in the ring. I hit the ropes in frustration. She ran to the backstage. I got out of the ring and ran backstage to find her. I'm tired of this, I'm going to prove to this woman that I love her and that I would never do anything to hurt her. I got to the backstage and started checking every closed door I could find. I checked her locker room but I only found Brie and Dean. "What's up Roman?" " Have you seen Nikki?" Brie shook her head "No" I left the room and kept looking for her. I heard sobbing in a hallway. I walked closer to the sobbing, and I saw Nikki laying on the floor, I sat next to her. "Baby girl?" She was still sobbing but she got up and walked away. I stood up and jogged to catch up to her. "Stop Roman!" "No Nikki!" She shook her head "I need a minute, please.." "I'm not giving you a minute, because I know that while those seconds pass by, you suffer." She wiped her tears "Yea I'm suffering because of what you did! You were the one that said that you loved me! You said I was the only girl you loved and that you would never hurt me. But you left me heartbroken on Monday after kissing one of the people responsible for me being hurt and suffering!! You said that you would protect me but it turns out you hurt me just like everyone else!" I breathed in "You don't get it!! I never kissed Eva, she kissed me. I would've explained if you would've answered my calls or texts!! Nikki I know what I said, I meant every word! I never hurt you, I could never do that without hurting myself! Believe it or not you are the love of my life!! I would die before ever hurting you!! And I don't care who doesn't want us together because I love you.. You are my world now, you see those eyes, I know have been crying ever since Monday. And I know that you think that everyone was right about what they said about you. But you're not because even if this doesn't make you mine again, i want you to know that I will never stop making you happy and making you smile. I know that you think you're worthless, but to me you are worth my life. I know that I should've said this sooner but I just thought that you needed time. I would never hurt you physically, emotionally , or mentally because you are truly my world, my baby girl. And no redhead or authority is going to change that." I turned away to walk away. I walked to my locker room and packed everything to get in my rental car. I grabbed my black hoodie and car keys and headed out to my car. I unlocked the car door, I was about to get in before I heard my name being called. "Ro! Wait!" I turned around and saw Nikki running to my car. She ran to me and kissed me. Her lips were soft, she wrapped her arms around my neck and just made the kiss more passionate. I wrapped my hands around her waist, pulling her closer to me. "Guess they made up."Dean said, "Told you so, you owe me 20 bucks, by the way!" Brie said walking by and getting in their car. Me and Nikki finally stopped kissing, but we were still wrapped around each other. "God you don't know how much I've missed you or your lips." Nikki said breathless, I chuckled "does this mean I'm forgiving?" I said as we put each others foreheads together. "Mhmm for now, I was thinking about what you said, and you're right. Plus I know the kinda scheming bitch Eva is." I laughed "So you coming to the hotel tonight?" "Don't know yet, Dean's sleeping with Brie tonight in our room, so I don't wanna be in there tonight." I nodded "Yea. How about you sleep in Superman's hotel room tonight?" "Oh really? where is he?" I looked at her with a serious face "You think you're funny huh, baby girl?" She pecked my lips "I don't think, I know." She grabbed her bags from the floor and put them in the back. And we were on our way to the hotel.
