Bad Mistakes

Tonight was Thursday Night Smackdown, I was in the catering area waiting for Brie. My phone dinged, it was a message from Brie, telling me to meet her at the match list. I started walking over to the match list, "Hey Brie, what's up?" She looked up "Um, you won't be happy with tonight's match." I shrugged "Why?" She pointed to the main event, my eyes widened with fear. The main event for tonight was Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton with special guest referee Nikki Bella.

"Nikki, you okay?" Brie asked snapping me out of my fear, I shook my head "No, I'm terrified. Does Roman know?" "I don't think so. He's with Dean." "I need to talk to him about this." She nodded and we walked on to Dean's locker room. We knocked on the door "Come in." We walked in, "Hey girls, what's up?" I looked at Roman then at Dean "Nothing good." Roman walked closer to me "What's wrong, babygirl?" I looked up at him "We need to talk." He nodded and we headed to the hallway. "Come on, tell me."

I cleared my throat "Have you seen the main event for tonight?" "No. Why?" I put my hand into his "You have a special guest referee match against Randy." He shrugged "Okay. Who's the guest referee?" "It's me Roman." He looked at me, "Babygirl, what's the problem? Don't worry I won't let you get hurt." I shook my head "It's not me I'm worried about, I don't want you to get hurt. And by me being there Randy might hurt you badly."

My eyes watered, he grabbed my face wiping my eyes "Baby girl don't worry about me, he can put me down tonight but I'll be back bringing the fight. And if a fight is what Randy wants, then my only response is to fight harder . My only concern is that you are fine and protected by me. Nobody will put their hands on you as long as I'm around, okay?" I looked up at him again "Yeah." He snuggled me into a hug. "I can't wait to see you in your referee outfit tonight babygirl." I looked up to him, shocked "Roman! You better focus on your match tonight."

He laughed "It's gonna be hard but I'll just imagine you in a potato sack" I hit him lightly on the shoulder "Don't you dare." Brie came out of Dean's locker room, "Guys, your match is almost up. Come on Nikki, let's get you ready." I nodded while Roman held me tighter "I'll see in a few than baby girl." He let go and went inside Dean's locker room while me and brie went to her locker room. When we go inside I put on my referee outfit and knee high socks .

I let my hair down from the bun and put on my Fearless Nikki hat on. Brie did my light makeup, with light pink lipstick. A knock on the door made us jump up, it was Dean. "Nikki you're up " "Okay, thanks Dean. Bye Brie see you after my match." I ran to the gorilla ready for my entrance.

"Cause you can look but you can't touch you keep dreaming on the stars above ."

I walked on the stage and did my Bella booty shake. I walked down the ramp smiling and waving at the fans. I flipped into the ring and waited for Roman and Randy. Roman's theme song came on, and I couldn't help but blush. He came down the steps but on his way down he gets pushed off. I run to the ropes to get a better look, only to see Randy beating on Roman. He grabbed Roman's hair and swings him away from the barricade. I got out from the ring, stopping right in front of Randy "Stop Randy, that's enough!"

He laughed, grabbing a handful of my hair "You think I'm gonna listen to anything you say? Think again!" He threw me into the steel steps. I cried in intense pain as the steel met my rib cage. I watched as Roman tried getting up but instead Randy took a steel chair and started beating Roman with it.

Chair shot after chair shot, I shut my eyes everytime I heard Roman grunt in pain. Randy picked him off the floor and hit him with a DDT. I laid in pain, trying to stop my tears from flowing out of my eyes. Randy tore equipment off the announce table, he put Roman on the table. I jump up with tears in my eyes "Randy please stop, Please! Enough you won. Just stop!" He picked Roman up and drove him through the table. My body fell apart, I fell to my knees, sobbing.

I stared at Roman's lifeless body through teary eyes. Randy kneed down to my level "That's what happens to people who try and protect trash like you." I cried harder. "Why didn't you just stop?" He laughed while walking away. I crawled to Roman and grabbed his face "Ro, I'm so sorry, I should've never let this happen." The medical team came out with the stretcher, they loaded Roman onto it. I stood there crying, the one person that protected me from abuse, risked himself for me. We all walked back into the ambulance, the paramedic looked my direction "Ma'am are you going to accompany him to the E.R?" I nodded and hopped into the back of the ambulance, I sat down and held Roman's hand all the way to the hospital.
