Chapter Eleven: Shutting Up The Mouth

Darren's POV

   I spent the rest of my night at the hospital, attending whatever Clayton wants. It was beyond my imagination that signing the contract will lead me into this crazy situation. This is just incredibly insane. The guy is punishing me. I don't think he needs a husband because it's more like he wanted me to become his personal slave. 

   Now he's  currently into his laptop, maybe checking his emails or whatsoever. While me I'm doing nothing but sitting inside the room and witnessing myself dying in boredom. I should end this suffering and it's already 7 in the morning. Maybe if I ask him nicely he listens and hopefully let me leave somehow.

   "Ahem...um... Mr. Devin... is there anything or something more that you still needed for me to do?" I asked. I waited for an answer but their was no reply from him. I guess that's maybe a yes because silence means yes...right? "Well if there's none? I... guess... maybe...I could go home now? Mr. Devin...?" I continue and this time,  he move his head and look straight at me. I hate that look.  I hate those blue eyes. I admit this man is very hard to resist, any woman or man are more willing to take my place in seconds if I die.

  "You can take your leave now  Darren." He spoke.

    Am I hearing this right? "Really?  Are you serious? Or you're just playing with me... again?" I have to clarify. It is better to be sure or face the consequence.

   "I'm serious and I'm not joking. You can go home now. But--"

   "Bull crap! I knew it!" I stood up and swings my arms up high. "There is always a catch. My goodness Mr. Devin... what now? For the past hours I've been your slave. I did everything what you told me, like: Darren get me this, Darren massage my back, Darren get me water. What else do you need? I just want to ---" But he instantly cut me off.

   "Darren shut up!" I stop talking because that voice doesn't sound   happy at all. I look at him and notices his trying to compose himself. "I was trying to say that you could go home but before you leave, I want you to have the three weeks off. Yes , you heard it right. I'm giving you the three weeks so you could tell your family about us, your friends or whoever close to you. And I hope this gives you enough time for yourself and savor the single and free life while it last. I will call you the details after that period. Goodbye for now Darren." He explained then continue to his work.

  Ow... that was easy for you to say you prick! Luckily for me it so freaking hard. But wait this will be easy because I don't have parents to talk with it and I just have to make sure that Carly wouldn't think of me as so desperate to rush into marriage hastily because of what happened between me and Tom. I just have to come up with something, to make it believable for her to understand and accept it easily.
She's the only family I have and I don't like lying  to her, but I have no other options . Oh... God help me with this.
    I don't want to burden her anymore with my problems. This is my life and she's going to have her own family anytime  soon. I know I can do this. I just have to be tough and depend on myself.

   "I thought you wanted to leave? Are you waiting for a goodbye kiss from me? Coz I'll be happy and willing to give you that" Clayton words snap me out in my deep thinking.

    "Jerk!I don't want your goodbye kiss ." Dan shut it! The man just gave you permission to leave don't make him take it back. I scolded myself.

   "Uhm...Sorry. I mean yes--"

   "That you want my kiss." He smugly said.

   "No of course  not! What I mean to say is - yes I'm leaving and thank you. Thank you for giving me time. I really appreciate it." I quickly grab my belongings. I start walking towards the door but before I able to turn the knob, I look back to him. "Are you sure that you're okay by yourself?"I asked. What's wrong with you Dan that was not uncalled for just leave already. I thought you want to leave?  What's with the sudden concern?
