Emeli's P.O.V:
I woke up in the morning feeling very secure. Since the night Diago asked me out we have been sleeping in the same bed but after last night it feels different. It feels like we are linked together. Connected with a bond stronger than just the insecure title of being boyfriend and girlfriend. Now i feel safer knowing that we shared something spiritual.
His arm was draped lazily but securely over my stomach which made me smile. I opened my eyes to steal a glance at the handsome specimen before me.
His constant inhalation and exhalation and his tense and then relaxed muscles made me smile. I traced the form of his back muscles softly. Appreciating all the tiny ridges and curves of his mighty being.
As if he could feel me tracing his artistry he turned to face me not opening his eyes. I took that as a cue to trace the remanants of his beautiful smile to the arch of nose to the curve of his eyebrows.
"Sculpted by the sculptor, there's a hope that's waitin' for you in the dark, you don't have to change a thing the world can change its heart, no scars to your beautiful we're stars and we beautiful. Beauty is pain and there's beauty in everything. Oh that beauty goes deeper than the surface. Let me be your mirror help you see a little bit clearer the light that shines within. No better you than the you that you are. No better life than the life we living. No better time for your shine you're a star."
I sang that softly while i traced his chest area and his firm abdomin.
"Thank you God." I smiled as i said that.
My father raised me a strong Christian girl with many faiths and believes of which i later left behind but the one thing i never lost was the tradition to acknowledge everything he does for you whether you prayed for it or not.
Flashback
I was a little over the age of twelve when my dad sat me down to answer all the questions i have been asking him. He took me in his lap and told me in sincerity.
"I wasn't always a firm believer in my God. I use to think that he never existed because i thought he was never there for me in my life. But thanks to the church he met called the Unification Church. They explained something to him that no other Christian church told him.
He said. "Emmy, When i was close to death he was there, when i was hungry he was there. Not because he enjoyed seeing me suffer but because he knew that in order to for me to truly understand the value of life i had to witness death, in order to understand the value of love you have to know hate. So don't curse God in your rough times. Rather praise him because during every test the teacher is always quiet but they gave you all you needed prior to that. Its up to you to actually study it. So praise him always."
End of flashback
And that was it. And it stuck with me till this very day.
"Why'd you stop singing?" I jumped a little at his sudden awakening. He smirked at my reaction. "I didn't mean to scare you." "No it's okay... I just started daydreaming." He smiled at me and that tugged at the string quartet in my heart.
"Today we go back to America." I sighed while continuing to trace his chest. "I know... I wish we could have stayed a little longer." "Yeah me too. But i have a business to run and so do you." I nodded in understanding.

We were both washed, dressed and ready to go back to America. The assistant manager helped us with our bags.
"Morning Will." "Morning Em." He scanned my being. "What?" "You looking very happy... how was last night?" I blushed and smirked. "It was the best way to end this trip." He raised an eyebrow. "Okay... Should i start planning a baby shower?" I laughed. "No... Not yet anyway." "Oh oh ohhh. Is that hope i hear?" "Can we just get to the airport already." "That's fine with me... Did you take the morning after pill?" I nodded in response. "Ohhhhh... Wow... I am speechless." I smirked in his direction before entering the SUV.
Diago later joined me in the SUV. "You ready babe?" The way he said that like i was the only women that mattered in his world. "Yip. You?" He smiled. "Always." And he kissed me on the forehead.
The drive to the airport consisted of us reminescing about our entire trip here.
We halted the car right by the entrance of Santrègez Air. We borded the plane while our luggage was being packed.
I took my seat on the comfy recliner with my book in hand and warm hot chocolate in the other. Diago sat opposite me with his nerdy glasses on and his laptop in lap. Working while our feet were playing together.
When his phone rang and again his smirk appeared.
