chapter 7

Just to warn you this chapter will get dark...

Ashley POV
"Max hasn't said anything to me after what happened last night. I'm worried that Max hates me. I don't want to go in to work today. I fucked up. I fuck every thing up."
"No you don't Ash-"
"I know that I promised not to but I can't fight the urge anymore."
"Ashley Graham! Don't you dare! I thought you were better than that! Please don't cut again last time you almost killed yourself."
"I know, but it made me feel better, it was a distraction from the emotional pain that I was feeling. Aaron I'm sorry."
"ASH DON'T YOU DARE HANG UP! You're my only sist-" I hung up on him and grabbed my pocket knife. I opened it to reveal the silver steel blade. I lifted the bottom of my shorts revealing old scars, and placed the tip of the blade on my thigh.
"Hello old friend." I said with a sigh.
I fucked up my relationship with Max.

I broke my promise to my brother.

I screw everything up.

The warm blood slowly filled the cuts.
"I'm sorry" I whispered to myself. I heard my phone ring. I whimpered as I stood up, covered the cuts and, grabbed my PJ pants.

Max POV
Ashley hasn't shown up for work today, I'm really worried. She probably hates me after last night.
"Max have you seen or heard from Ashley?" Adam asked with a worried look.
"No. Why?"
"She hasn't shown up and we have a shoot today for office antics."
"Okay, I-I'll give her a call." I said. I called Ashley and hoped   that she would answer.
"H-Hello?" She sounded upset.
"Hi Ashley its Max. Where are you? Adam and I are really worried about you. Are you okay? Do you need a ride?"
"Max I'm fine I just found out that my mom died." Her voice was wavering.
"Do you still want to come in? Today's the duct tape challenge."
"Sure I'll come in. I need someone to go to the funeral with me so my dad tear me apart." Her voice was shaky.
"Do you want me to go with?" I asked.
"Yes if you could please. Oh and Scott is taping you for the challenge."
"Not again. I swear that he's done that before."
"He probably has. I'll come in today, see you soon."
"Bye Ashley."
[Time skip to the offices]

Ashley POV
The cuts itched and burned as I walked. I had forgotten how much it hurts after I cut. I walked in to my office set down my purse and my keys. Then I heard a thud on the window. I turned around to see Adam with a camera and pressing himself up against the glass.
"Are you going to be annoying all day?" I asked.
"Only to you. I heard about your mom. I am sorry for your loss." He pulled away from the window and gave me a hug. I kind of accepted it even though I didn't want to be touched. I felt a fresh hot tear roll down my cheek I quickly wiped it away. Adam ended the hug.
"If you need anything tell me, okay?"
"I will. Come on you need to be taped." I put on a fake smile. 'The mask is returning.' I thought to my self, 'That cursed mask.'
