When you have nobody, no friends or family, you have nothing. You're against the shadows alone.

Chapter 1: Memories that will not vanish.

My first day of my sophmore year, yay, I thought sarcastically. I looked up at the mirror to inspect myself before school. My long straight hair was acting right today, so I put it in soft curls around my face. I put some lip gloss on, my moms diamond necklace and my uniform. I like fixing myself and looking pretty.

I have smoothe tan-tinted skin, super long, dark brown hair. My eyes were Bright green, but the gold on the outside stood out the most on my face.

I smoothed my skirt down, and skipped to the hallway. My all-white kitten with one black star over her left eye, Luna, was still asleep on my pillow.

"Spoiled princess," I said, grinning at her while scratching her nose.

"Dad! I'm going to be late!", I whined from upstairs."Can I PLEASE skip breakfast today?"

My dad came down the stairs while straightening his tie for work, "Fine go ahead, but don't be whining when you can't remember anything in school. I'll be home at 12:30 ok?"

I ran down the stairs, pulling on my white Vans and kneehighs on the way down."Ok." I pecked my dad lightly on the cheek, and ran out the door to school.

I HATE uniforms. I thought to myself as i walked through the high school hallways, Buzzing with kids in plaid-yellow, plaid-blue, plaid-white. Plaid Shmad I said to myself. I, myself, am not that worried about fitting in with the crowd.

I have lots of friends, but non of them are as precious to me as my best friend is. And he's all I need. I straightened my backpack on my shoulders while watching some kids staring at me. Freshman, I guessed, that have never seen my gold, bright green eyes before.Their judgemental stares made me squirm a little. I could read in their eyes what they wanted to say, but didn't say out loud.
