Sirius's little secret: Cassie Jamie Black

My past

Ok this chapter will have a lot of talking in it mainly done by Cassie and Dumbledore. It will have alot of Cassie's past and why she is like she is. Also I will have another book (again that I don't own) that I'm not sure about the exact time period so just ignore the dates of release and pretend it was released when Cassie was little thanks! Ooh and sorry about the long wait for the chapter but it was so long and my wifi was playing up so it was completed in the end of a maths computer lesson haha. "Well when I was little I lived in the orphanage as you already know. I was brought there when I was tiny and when I was there I couldn't remember a life anywhere else. The other children were all bitter and cruel but because they couldn't take it out on the older kids they took it out on me. I was the youngest child that wasn't a baby there so I got the brunt of everything. If things weren't up to standard I was blamed yet when I did something right someone else got rewarded. Even the workers didn't like me so I became quiet and withdrawn; I didn't talk to anyone and I soon learned how to stay away from everyone so that I wouldn't get in to trouble.

One day when I was about  4 another little girl came but I stayed away as I thought she would be just like the others. She was quiet and stayed away from large crowds; she didn't fit in with the others but I was too scared to approach her. One day I was sat under the big tree in the gardens reading a book that I had managed to get from inside. She came up to me and just sat down; no introductions or conversations. She started to draw in a little book I had noticed she carried everywhere and we sat in silence for the longest time.

When the matron shouted for dinner we both helped each other up and walked, again in silence, to the mess hall. We stayed together for a while, not speaking a word until about a month after she came. I remember it so clearly, she was my first friend.

*Flashback*

I was sat under the big tree waiting for Elizabeth at our usual time. I drew a book from my bag and started to read. I was soon engrossed in the story. A world of magic and wonder where good always beat evil and everyone lived happily ever after even if there was some twists and turns along the way. I didn't notice when Elizabeth came up and sat beside me, didn't notice her calling out to me or the hand poking my shoulder.

"Cassie!" A sweet voice interrupted my story and I whipped my head around to come face to face with the small girl. "I said what is it your reading?"

"Oh I'm reading Skulduggery Pleasant. Its about a world of magic with a skeleton detective and his sidekick. Its really good." I said nervously, even though we had spent many days together we hadn't spoke so talking was still a nervous experience.

"Ooh!" She squealed and ran off to the building.

I sat alone on the grass and continued to read. Around 10 minuets later she appeared holding a copy of the same book as I was reading and we shared equal grins of delight.

"Everyone tells me that the book is too hard for me but I enjoy reading it and if I don't understand something I can look it up." She said proudly hugging the book to her chest.

"Everyone says that to me too!" I exclaimed and we shared another childish giggle.

The truth was we were both very advanced for our ages and it was nice to find someone of the same talents that wouldn't be condescending about our age. We sat happily chatting about the book until dinner and we built up a strong friendship from then on.

*Flash Forward*

"From then on we were inseparable. We did everything together and our happiness showed in our work. The tasks I had to complete were done quicker and better after my friendship so the Matrons were reluctant to break the streak of good fortune for them.
