Chapter 12

Catherine's POV

"Hey guys." I greeted and walked pass them and sat on the couch.

"Ay grabe ka best! Feel na feel ang bahay namin." Sabi ni Nat and rolled her eyes. I didn't mind her at all and just looked at the TV screen. Naramdaman ko namang umupo si Jarvis sa gilid ko but I didn't even bothered to look at him kahit sa peripheral vision ko lang. Nakatitig lang ako sa screen and kept quiet when Nat decided to leave the condo dahil bibili lang daw siya sa 7/11 ng makakain which is two blocks away.

"There are too many customers there. You should stay here than wasting your effort walking and waiting there dahil masasayang lang lahat ng pinaghirapan mo kahit you already know na maraming tao ang nakapila dun and I'm sure there very irritated kaya manatili ka nalang dito." I said calmly without breaking my eye contact on the screen.

"Hugot much best? I'll still go there kasi ayokong maging third wheel dito. Byeeeeeee!"

I remained quiet when I felt Jarvis staring at me. I raised a brow still looking at the tv screen.

"Staring is rude Jarvis." I said. Nagulat nalang ako nang bigla niyang hinawakan ang pisngi ko at pinatingin sa kanya. His eyes says it all. He's worried for me. Nakakaguilty tuloy.

"What's wrong Mae? May nangyari ba sa'yo on the way here?" He asked in a worried voice still holding me. Damn! I can feel my cheeks are burning right now. I avoided his gaze but still facing him.

"I met Rexiel's crazy girlfriend. She attacked me. Good thing I was on my bitchy mode." I said as I held his hand and turned my head to face again the TV screen.

"Oh." And that's how our conversation ended. Hindi na kami nag-abalang magsalita pa. We were just feeling each others presence and it actually feels nice.

Palipat lipat lang kami ng channel nang bigla kaming napasigaw.

"Yan na lang!" Agad kaming nagkatitigan and looked amazed.

"Gusto mo yan?!" We asked in unison. Napatawa naman kami at sabay tumango and looked again in the TV screen. I never thought he'll like Phineas and Ferb! I can't help but smile. Ang cute niya talaga. Kahit na lalakeng lalake siya, nanunood din pala siya ng cartoons.

He suddenly locks his pinky finger with mine at hindi ko maiwasan ang mapatingin sa kanya. He just smiled at me and stayed quiet. Sigurado akong napakalaki na ng ngiti ko. Ang sweet niya kasi. I don't know but I just love it when someone locks his pinky finger with mine even though we're not making a promise or something.

Lumipas ang ilang oras na nakaganon kami ay dumating na rin si Natalie na may daladalang Hersheys, Slurpees, Toblerone, at kung ano ano pang mga pagkain na galing sa 7/11. Agad naman akong umusog kay Jarvis na na ngayon ay nakaakbay na sa akin. Si Nat naman ay umupo na kaagad sa gilid ko at sumubo ng Hershey's na todo ngiti naman sa'ming dalawa. Nakasandal kasi ako kay Jarvis.

"Kayo na?" She asked which made me blush.

"Not yet." Nakangiting sabi ni Jarvis kaya naman ay siniko ko siya. Pabiro naman siyang nagreact na parang nasasaktan. Ilang minuto din kaming hindi umimik dahil sa kakafocus papanood ng Phineas and Ferb nang bigla akong binulungan ni Jarvis sa tenga.

"You wan't some chocolates?" Tumango naman ako kaya inalis niya muna ang pagkakaakbay sakin ngunit umakbay namanulit pagkatapos niya akong bigyan ng toblerone.

"Hindi na nangangawit ang braso mo kakaakbay sa'kin?" Tanong ko with a brow raised. Umiling naman siya at ngumiti. I admired his face. Every bit of him. Ang haba ng eyelashes niya. Ang mata niya light brown. Ang ilong niyang matangos and his lips. Ang pula. Ang sa---

"Staring is rude Mae."

Pak!

"Aray!" He shouted.

"Shut up!"

Rexiel's POV

"If you won't be mine, then I'll destroy Catherine nang mawala na siya sa landas mo!"

"Aaaaaaaahhhh!" Agad akong napabangon sa hinigaan ko nang narinig ko ang napakarinding tinig ni Kathleen. I scanned the room to see if Kathleen really is in the area and good thing she isn't. I placed both palm of my hands in my head and closed my eyes.

Pati ba naman sa panaginip?! I tried to grab my phone from the side table nang nakita ko ang picture namin ni Cath. Nakangiti kami pareho. Selfie namin to nung isa sa mga dates namin. She's the one holding the phone that time and nasa likod ako hugging her from the back and placing my chin on her shoulder and we're both smiling.

Hanggang memorya na lang siguro ako.

I sighed and went got out of my room wearing my pajama and white sando. I let my fingers run through my hair as I made my way to the kitchen. Agad kong hinalungkat ang fridge at kumuha ng gatas and drank it. Napansin ko namang kagigising lang ni Eloise. She sat on the stool and scratched her head while her eyes are closed and yawned. Kumuha ako ng isang baso at linagyan ito ng gatas.

"Here." I said as I planted a kiss on her head. She murmured her thanks and drank the milk. Nanatili lang akong nakatingin sa kanya hanggang sa maubos ang gatas niya.

"You know what kuya, you really need to fix things right now." Eloise said and I cant help but to sigh.

"You're right Eloise but how? Everything's just so mixed up." Sabi ko. Sobrang nakakafrustrate ang pangyayari ngayon. I felt Eloise's hand on my shoulder. I looked at her and gave her a small smile.

"Nakaya mo ngang ayusin yung buhay mo na wala si ate Mae. Ngayon pa kaya na andito na siya?" Tumayo naman siya sa pagkakaupo niya at tumayo na and walked towards her room nang bigla siyang humarap sa'kin.

"Go Rexiel! Go Rexiel! Go, go go!" She cheered while jumping and smiled at me and closed the door.

Tama si Eloise. I stood up and smiled.

"It's time for me to fix things."
