Bart x reader

"Ugh I hate these uniforms man."  You said looking down at your baggy PE clothes. "Yeah they are pretty retro." Your best friend Bart said to you also looking down at his. 

"Ok class get in your assigned starting lines!" The gym teacher shouted as everyone got ready to run the mile. "I'm so gunna beat you this time." You said to Bart. He beats everyone in your class but you two always competed to see who could get first. "Sure you are. Didn't you say that the last three times we ran!" He replied as we both laughed. 

Taking my running stance the teacher shouted for us to start. You and Bart were running side by but he was gradually speeding up. "You know you could just give up now." He said snickering playfully at you "Yeah like that'll ever happen" you said picking up your pace. 

You and him were both in the lead almost to the end of the track, but then you suddenly tripped and were about to fall pretty hard given the speed you were running at 'oh gosh here comes a concussion for sure' you braced yourself for the fall. It never came. 

Not daring not open you eyes your heart skipped a beat "Y/N it's ok I got you!" You heard Bart say as he held you in his arms "How'd you catch me so quickly?" You asked shocked "I ran as quick as possible. Just try not to be so clumsy and your welcome for saving your life. You could have hit your head pretty hard." He said letting to of you so you could stand up. You smiled at him and pulled him into a hug. Little did he know you had a crush on him for a while now. 

"Thank you" you said as he hugged you back "I know I just tripped but still thank you." Letting go of each other you both stood there looking at one another until you realized you and him were still in the lead a grin began to form on your face. You walked up to Bart stood on your tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. 

He was blushing like crazy and you stunned him enough to the point where you ran ahead and beat him in the mile. "Seriously!?!" He said as he ran up behind you "What I did tell you I would beat you this time!"
