Lost & Found

Chapter 2

"So did you arrive home alright?" Leena asked me in a worried tone as she popped a grape
into her mouth.

"I'm here aren't I?"

She laughed. "The world's a dangerous place, just looking out"

I was silent for a while, trying to finish my lunch. Today was pretty boring as always, I didn't have much energy to even have a decent conversation with anyone. I was very thoughtful most of the time which got me to lose myself in memories that werent the best. After lunch, Leena directed herself to the library, while I decided to head to my locker and organize my books to kill some time.

On my way to the hallway, I had distracted myself bumping into someone yet again. "Sorry" I said, the guy had dropped what it looked like a beeper and some pens, so I helped him out.

"No worries, I-.." He stopped, staring at me, searching my face with his eyes. "Aren't you from yesturday?" He asked. I was confused but then I recalled the incident yesturday.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that" I apologized.

"It happens."

He had walked away, leaving me at my locker alone now and confused in a way. How can I bump into the same guy, Twice? It seems completely normal, but in my opinion, it's quite odd.

I then proceed to shove my books into my locker, cleaning out some stuff too and taking out my books for last period. Suddenly, I caught this strange feeling, where I sensed as if someone was behind me. I looked over my shoulder to find a guy giving me a straight glance.

'Why is he staring at me?' I thought to myself

Having this temptation to look back again, I did. I felt uncomfortable, never have I ever been stared at like that, he seemed to be mad but I could see a smirk was peeking through.

Making my way down the hall, I saw Leena talking to someone, who it almost looked like Brett. 'The guy from the restaurant?' I worded with my mouth silently. She winked in agreement, well look at her, shes finally talking to him. She seemed so happy which made me
happy, i just really care about her. Leena, for
the past month has been there for me from thick to thin, making me gain her trust and i really appreciate her friendship.

"Ugh, i cant!" She walked towards me, squealing and smiling from ear to ear.

I smile at her, as I was gonna say something I had the urge to turn my head again. He's still looking at me!

"Alex!! Oh my god, you wont believe what just happened, I had just--.."

"Who is he?" I interrupted her, pointing my finger his direction infront of me, trying to hide it.

"Logan? What about him?"

I pulled her to the side, where he couldn't see us. "He keeps staring at me, I dont know why" I told her, she then looked over at him.

"Damn girl, he's still staring, what'd you do?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing! I did absolutely nothing, I don't even know the guy"

"Whats with him then?" She asked me, the thing is I didn't know, that is the exact same question I'm asking myself!

The bell rang, startling me. I quickly took my bag and walked to class.

It was already the end of class, so then again as usual I grabbed my stuff and left the room. Leena had already left, she had stuff to do, so I was stuck walking home, which doesnt bother me at all. As i started to walk down the route to my house i felt that same feeling as earlier, like if someone was behind me and it bothered me. Being the insecure person I was, I didnt do anything but look behind me and saw the same guy from yesturday. I was a little weirded out, but shook it off.

After walking a while, the guy had left, leaving me relieved and alone. I continued my way, turning the corner to arrive at my neighborhood. I saw him suddenly appear from the oposite side of the street, walking the same direction I was. I looked at him again, this time with a worried expression planted on my face.

"I'm not following you, just so you know" He Laughed.

Well thats awkward. "I never said that.. " I continued walking

"You didnt have to, your face says it all"

I looked at him, giving him a weak chuckle, he replies with a sweet smile

I had arrived at the gate, as I took out the beeper to get in, I realized he had opened it with his beeper. So thats the one that fell from his hands earlier.

"I see you live here" He said

I looked straight forward trying to avoid eye contact. "Yep" I finally replied

"Cool" I heard him speak "Im Zack, by the way" He added

"Alex" I responded, still focusing onto the ground as i walked.

It was silent, all I could hear was the sound of our feet dragging rocks.

"Ill see you around" Breaking the silence ther was, he walked into another street.

That was interesting.

I've finally arrived at my house, I walked inside to the smell of food being cooked.

"Hey" I greeted my mom, placing my bag down onto the chair.

"How was today?" She asked me in her nervous tone.

"Fine"

My mom was always the nervous kind ever since the whole middle school problem. She has always cared for me just like a mother should care for her daughter and I love her so much for all the support. I'm an only child, which she has more of a reason to, and always has been a great listener and I know for sure that i can come to her for anything.

Taking a cup of water I ran into my bedroom, rushed to go lay down I jumped onto my bed and decided to start on my homework, just to have the rest of the time to do nothing. I was quite in the mood to go outside and stroll around for a bit, I really enjoy it.

It was dark already, perfect to walk outside, I got my shoes and made my way out. When I had stepped outside a strong cold breeze hit my skin, making my hair go crazy, but that's why I like going outside at times, the weather was amazing.

I started walking down to the playground, it sounds stupid for me to go there but it's so relaxing there. Sitting on a swing with this breeze, listening to music, just the perfect climate to be in, also the perfect time to think.

"Alex?" a guy called my name, causing me
to freeze. I looked closer the the fogure infront of me.

"Zack?"
