I didn't realise the first chapter was only one page! It was like 5 on word. So I'm just gonna upload now. One minute after the first one.

“What are you going to do?” I whispered as we tiptoed downstairs Blake’s grip on my hand tight.

He rubbed the bag of his neck nervously “Hey Mr and Mrs Austin? Renee ‘s mine, back off!”

I giggled “That’d be nice”

He sighed “I wish it wasn’t so hard…”

“I’m 18 next month” I told him “I was going to leave then and maybe quit the agency…”

“What?” Why?”

“So I could come back to Minesotta”

He smiled at me “Love you” he leaned over and pressed his lips to mine before we heard a snobby familiar voice say “Speaking of the devil”

Blake sighed “You just love us don’t you?”

Agent Donovan scowled “You again!”

“Managed to fix Christopher’s watch?”

She stepped forward menacingly and I matched her step “Don’t even think about it”

“Renee? Whose this?” my mother appeared with my father and Sir Leonard who looked less friendly than he normally did.

“This is…”

“Brother to that filthy Brendan Heyworth…” Agent Donovan cut in.

I glared at her “You’re the filthy one here”

“Watch your tone” Sir Leonard snapped “She’s a head”

“Well she shouldn’t be talking about my boyfriend’s brother like that should she?”

“So you’re the one” my mother whispered “Taking my daughter away from me?”

“With all due respect Ma’am, I love your daughter”

“But she’s only 17! She’s still my baby”

My face softened “I’ll always be your baby mom”

“But you’re going back aren’t you?” my father asked looking equally heartbroken.

I gripped Blake’s hand whilst nodding.

My father stepped towards Blake who gulped “Welcome to the family son”

I laughed “Steady on there dad”

“Well there’s 99.9% chance you’ll be married in around 5 years as my daughter here is very picky with her men”

Blake laughed “Thank you sir”

“Don’t look so happy” Sir Leonard snapped surprisingly “Renee Austin I hereby declare that as from today you are suspended pending further investigation”

My mother gasped “But why?”

“You bailed out a possible suspect; we don’t know whose side you’re on anymore”

I glared at Agent Donovan “This is all you isn’t it?”

She shrugged “You go back to Minnesota or not, you’re no longer an agent”

I didn’t know what they expected my reaction to be, but I smiled “Very well”

“It’s good to be home!” Blake smiled at me as we sat in the car outside the house in Minnesota.

“Are you sure you want this?” he asked “Give up your career for a crappy life with me?”

“Crappy life?” I scoffed “It’s the best life I could ever ask for” he grinned and kissed me softly. We jumped out of the car, pulling my small bags in with me.

I was surprised to find Ethan sat on my couch laughing with Marie, I raised an eyebrow.

“Ethan?”

“Oh Renee, I was wondering when you’d be back!”

Marie smiled sheepishly “I did try to tell him you’d left…”

“Nonsense” Ethan scoffed “My prodigy couldn’t possibly leave, not when we’re leaving for Illinois in 2 days!”

“What?” Blake beat me to it.

“Athletics Championships, I did tell you Renee”

“No you didn’t” I shook my head “What are you talking about?”

“Maybe it slipped my mind” Ethan shrugged regardless “You’ll be driving it’s only about 8 hours”

“What?” I spluttered again “Can’t I just…fly?”

Ethan waved his hand “Too many delays…”

“I’ll come” Blake volunteered, the look in his eye told me he wasn’t taking no for an answer.

Ethan narrowed his eye “I don’t want you distracting my track star from her goals!”

Blake scoffed “Please, just the sound of my voice distracts her”

I scowled at him and elbowed him in the side “Cocky piece of…”

“Kids” Ethan interrupted causing us both to glare “Fine, young adults…”

“Adult” Blake cut in

“Shut it” Ethan snapped “I suggest you leave tomorrow, I’ll excuse you from class for the week to be safe”.

“Great” Blake said grinning, he never liked class.

“But I’m sure you’ll need to go together in the morning to collect any work you’ll be missing”

He groaned.

Ethan got up to leave “I expect to see you in 48 hours, don’t be late”

“I’ll see you out” Marie said rather flirtatiously winking at me when I shook my head.

“So…Illinois” Blake smirked “Just me, you and a very, very long car journey”

It was my turn to groan.
