Before I Go

This is it. . . Moment of truth . . . Maybe

We were headed towards the entrance when it happened! It all went so quickly that I can hardly remember what really happened. I do know it was not our fault, the drunk man in the other car was very much guilty! He was doing 80 mph in a 25 zone with a cop car tailing behind him with flashing lights! All I remember is my mother screaming and then waking up lying on the side of the road. I was thrown out of the car, probably because I had unbuckled just a few minutes before. The doctors say I'm a very lucky to have survived such a impact with a Broken leg and minor bruises and scratches. My mother on the other hand wasn't in the best condition. She was alive thank God! 🙌🏼 but she took the impact head on and was in surgery for 5 hours. She had a broken neck and arm, her face was beaten up with a a major cut which will soon be scar from her temple down to her chin. She was so fortunate to have made it!

My mother is a very strong independent women! She has so much courage and strength that I some times get intimidated by her, only because I wish to the moon and back that I had just as much strength as she does! I am so blessed to have a mother like her!
The entire family rushed to the hospital when they heard the news about our accident! Once they got my mother and I situated in our room immediate family was aloud to visit. My father and 2 siblings came in first.

"Hey sweet pea! How are feeling? Is everything alright? Can I get you anything? Do you need a drink of water? How is your leg?" -Richard aka father

I had to interrupt him. My father was freaking out and asking way too many questions!

"Father I'm fine. Everything is fine, you can calm down. But you may want to check on mom." - Angelique Haven aka me
 
"Yes that's a good idea. I'll be on the other side of the room if you need me sweetie." -father

"Hey little sis. You good?" - Allen aka older brother

"Yes I'm fine. Although I could use a trip to the rest room if you would call a nurse in for me?" - Haven

"Yes of course! Anything for my princess!" -Allen
 
"Sissy I love you!" -Addilyn Emerson aka little sister.

Once the nurse came in and helped me to the  bathroom and checked my mom and I to make sure everything was going smoothly the Doctor came in. He has a serious face but you could tell by his eyes he didn't have good news. Once he reassured us that everything from the accident is good and that I would be leaving in a few days and mom could come home in 2 and half weeks he got down to business.

"Haven we have your test results back about your tumors and the treatments. Considering what all has happened I'm asking you if you want to wait on the results or if you would like me to proceed on the information? Of course I would like you to discuss this with your parents." -Doctor Anthony

I looked over at my mom silently asking her for permission even though I really don't need it since I am 18 and can legally 'stand for myself' as I like to call it. She gave a small nod and I looked at dad and he smirked and nodded. I looked at Doctor Anthony contemplating wether I want to say yes or wait until I know I can handle the information.

"I would like to know now if you don't mind." -Haven
