Chapter 10- Glad I met you
Holly P.O.V
I woke to hear the beeping nose of a machine. My head was aching. Something was hiding onto my left had. I turned to my left to see Russell holding my hand and Jon was stood next to him.
"Hello." I whispered.
"Hello." Said Russell never letting go of my hand.
"Hiya." Said Jon.
"How's you're head?" Asked Russell.
"It still hurts. I'm fine though." I said.
The door then opened. My mum was there and so were the police. "Holly." She said rushing towards me.
"Get away. Don't touch me." I said shaking.
I looked at the police. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
The looked at Russell. "Mr Howard is under arrest for kidnapping you and attacking your step farther."
"What? Russell hadn't kidnapped me-"
"He's alienated her." My mum said holding me in her arms. I started to shake. Tears were in my eyes. I instantly thought she was going to hurt me.
"Don't hurt me!" I screamed.
The police looked at my mum. One of the officer I recognised looked at me. "Sir that woman came into the station a couple of weeks ago claiming to have been beaten my her mother and step farther."
"You did what?" Shouted my mum. "You fucking bitch." My mum started to hit me as I cried.
A police officer pulled her off of me. I started to cry. "Get her out of here." Said one of the officers. "Holly tell my what has happened."
I told him what had happened since my dad died and the threats my mum said to me when I was on the phone and how my step dad punched me. I told him that Russell was the one who helped me get away from it all and take care of me.
"Ok Holly. We will arrest your mum and step dad. Russell is innocent. I apologise for my staff not believing you." Said the officer walking out.
I turned to face Russell and Jon. "Can I talk to Russell on my own Jon?"
"Of course." Said Jon. He walked out of the room.
I looked at Russell. I then stood up and so did he. We were now face to face.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his lips. He was shocked at first but then he went with it.
"Thank you." I said as we pulled away.
"What for?"
"For saving me." I said with a smile on my face. "Russell I am so glad I met you." I said. Russell then pulled me closer to him and we shared a tender kiss.
