Cheers erupted as Kehlani blew out the candles on her birthday cake.
Things have been different without Ty and Dre in her life, but she dealt with it to the best of her ability.
"Aye, Lani!" Nick called her just when she was taking her shot of vodka to the head. "You got a visitor."
Her heart dropped as she began to think of who it could be. If it was Dre, she wouldn't be surprised at all. If it was Ty, she'd be flattered.
Very flattered.
She met the eyes of a stranger, but seen a smile so familiar.
"Lani," he said calmly.
Kehlani just looked at him. She studied him long and hard. His hair had changed, he looked exhausted, and he even brought another special guest with him.
"Hi, RoRo," Kehlani said while playing with his daughter.
"Wow," Ty said, examining her. "How does it feel to be the big 2-1?"
She looked at him, threw her shot glass, and kissed him passionately.
"It feels better now that you're here," she whispered. "I missed you."
"I missed you, too, baby."

Kehlani decided, after having sex with Ty again, to stay single. Being "Torn" just wasn't worth it.
Dre had arrived at the party, but Ty beat him to Kehlani's heart, so he gave up.
