"I'm enrolling you in a human high school." My father looks across at me, anguish written in his features.
Staring blankly at him, I reply, "fine."
Spinning on my heel, I hurry out of my father's office.
"It's not what you think it'll be, Venus. Humans are stupid, ruthless, and inconsiderate beings. They'll kill you the moment they realize what you are!" Father calls after me.
Pausing, I look over my shoulder at him.
"You mean just like mother? She wasn't human."
With one last glance, I turn and head to my room to gather some things.
