My day started out like every other day since my freshman year. Get up, do morning shit and go to school, or what I liked to call hell. Meeting up with my buddy Rick, we would talk about random things before heading towards our class. It was like groundhog day, over and over, again and again.

Today the sky was as black as soot, with a fifty percent chance of rain. It seemed more like a hundred to me. The wind was harsh, and you could smell the upcoming rain the air. My truck door slammed thanks to the wind, and I could feel the force as I drove to school.

There was a black 2015 Camaro ZL1 parked next to my usual spot. A frown graced my face as I went through just about every student here, which wasn't many, but couldn't come up with one that had enough money to want to buy something like that.

Everyone knew everyone here. We grew up together, and many of us would probably die here together like our ancestors before us.

Rick was sitting in our usual spot when I approached him. His phone was in his hands and a frown was upon his face as he texted someone rapidly, his fingers flying across the screen. He paused as I stopped at his feet, looking up at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"It seems we have a new student!"

Rick grinned as the gears in his head started to turn. Frowning, I sat beside him and prayed the new student wasn't some poor freshmen girl. Rick had slept with practically every girl in the school, so someone new was just what he needed. Or didn't need.

I rolled my eyes and watched all the students mingling across the campus before the bell rang. Slapping Rick on the head, we hurried toward our first class; and it wasn't until Home Economics rolled around, just before lunch, that I finally caught a glimpse of the new student.

And she was in my class, sitting right next to me, getting assigned the new project with me.

Fuck.

She.
Was.
So.
Hot.
