Eden had to use every ounce of logic to not step forward and punch her father square in the face.
Her father smirked."I see you still dislike me,yet you want to join the ranks."He said the smirk not sliding off his face.
"Are we going to the meeting or not?"
Eden sneered.
"No not yet first you have to do something to show your not playing games."
Edens shoulders tightened."What might that be."She asked crisply.
Her father smiled wickidly.
"I want you to kill someone for me."
"No!"Eden snarled her eyes shinning their gold color.
Her father laughed harshly."If you want to be in the ranks then you must be able to kill.To bring a knife to someones throat.To watch the blood run from their veins.To relish the vile smell of death.To taste the copper blood on your lips."He hummed darkly his eyes going a lustful color of black.
Eden went to refuse feeling sick to the stomach.She stopped herself and inhaled sharply.
"Fine."She said bitterly.
"Who is it?"
"I want you to kill Lilly Evans.You seem to be very close,but you must show you are worthy young one."
Eden felt bile rise in her throat.
What was she supposed to do.She already knew what she had to do.It wad gonna be terrible absolutely horrible.
After her encounter with her father,Eden ran to the boys dorm.Eden banged on the door loudly her heart threatening to burst.
Sirus opened the door lazily in his pajamas . Upon seeing Eden he grabbed his robe.
He furrowed his brows shutting the door quietly behind him.
"What happend?Did you go to the meeting?"
Eden shook her head fear crawling up her spine.
"No he wouldn't let me,told me I had to prove myself first."
Edens voice cracked.
Sirus's face hardened."Do what exactly."Eden shook her head."He wants me to kill Lilly."
"Well you won't,right?"Sirus said sharply.
Eden just stared at him.
"Evey you are not actually comsidering killing her?!"
Eden shook her head."Of course not."
Eden watched as Lilly made her way to Hagrids hut.She hummed a soft tune clutching a bundle of books.It was dark and the moon was barley visible.
Eden clutched the knife in her hand.Her father had simply instructed her no magic,make it seem like a muggle attack. Eden walked up behind Lilly cautiously.
She was oblivious as Eden gained up on her.
Lilly turned to see Eden. She screamed clapping her mouth with her hand "You scared me." She laughed.
Edens face remained cold and flat.
"Eden are you ok?"
Eden didn't respond but rose the knife in her hand.
Lillys eyes widened and she paled.
"Eden ar-"
Eden swung the knife cutting a clean cut across her throat.
Lilly covered her bleeding throat and gagged.Her body wobbled before she fell to her knees.
She then fell back tears in her eyes.
Eden bent down to the dead girl and ran her fingers over the blood.It was fresh.It smelt terrible.Eden grimaced wiping her hands on her white dress.She cursed herself big mistake.
"Lilly?!"
Eden whipped her head around to see a wide eyed James Potter.
"James it's not what it looks like."Eden spoke slowly rising to her feet.
James drew his wand tears staining his face."You killed Lilly."
He growled.
Eden raised her bloody hands moving slowly to her pocket.
"James you don't want to do that."Eden warned.
James shook his head."I thought we were friends."
Eden grabbed her wand steadily knowing her father was watching.
"Silicium!"
Eden bit out.
James flew back rolling and landing on the ground with a loud thud.
He pulled himself up.Dirt was on his face his glasses sideways and the glass chipped.He pushed the glasses up spinning on his heel and running for help.
Eden stood there silent for a moment before her father appeared.
"Well done Eden."He applauded.
Eden turned to him her eyes dark.
"I did what I had to so I could get into the ranks but if you ever tell me I have to kill some one at this school again.I won't kill them.I will kill you."
Her father's grin grew."What are you going to do with the boy hmm?"
"A forgetting spell."Eden replied simply.
"And what of the body?"
Eden stared down at her red headed friend.
"I will hide it."
"Good,Good Eden.Welcome to the Fallen ranks." Her father said in a chirpy tone.
