Chapter 9 - The Search

Courtney's POV

Lauren and I stopped to think for a few seconds. We really had no idea where Cara and Ken were. "Come on, we gotta tell the others", Lauren said walking back into the club. "No!", I grabbed her by the hand. She looked at me with confusion. "Let's not make a big fuss of this yet. We will go look for them ourselves first, we don't want anybody worrying about them. Besides, their probably already half drunk", I made a really good point.
"You're right, but we need to tell them where we are going at least", she pointed back. "Just tell them you threw up or something". "What no say you threw up", Lauren complained. "Okay we'll say I threw up, now let's go".

We jogged back into the club and already half the place was hungover. "Peyton we are going to look for Cara and Ken, you coming?", I pulled Peyton a side and shouted to her over the music, still trying to make sure no one else heard. "Me and my boyfriend Jason got totally waaasteeeed. We woke up in this dumpster in Cinedicate", Peyton said in an American brat voice.
"Yeah, she's not coming", I said grabbing Lauren's arm to go find someone who wasn't drunk.
The whole time Daniel and Luke were standing behind Lauren. "What do you mean you're going to look for Cara and Ken?", Daniel asked curious, as he raised an eye brow. "Great", I whispered under my breathe. "Eehh come on lets get you too a drink hahah", I said about to walk to the bar. "Courtney", he said getting angry now. "What's going on, where are they?".
I paused for a second. "We're convinced they're missing..", I said awkwardly. "Missing !?", he heated up. "Yeaahh..", I said with a fake smile.
Luke stood there a bit in shock. "Come on Luke we are coming with them", Daniel said to Luke in anger.
"Where are ye going?", James said over hearing. "None of your concern James. Come on we're leaving", Daniel said picking up his coat. "Where you goin Danny boy!", Stuart said coming over a little drunk. "Ugh does he have to come?", Daniel said with a sigh. "Suppose he is Cara's cousin", I said in return. "Ugghh come on", Daniel said walking towards the door. "Ayye !", Stuart said quickly, falling over.
"I'm coming with you", James said to Luke. "Okay just don't talk to Daniel, he's pissed".
"Wait why would Daniel be pissed he doesn't like Cara.. does he !?", James said in thought. Luke stopped at the remembrance of James not knowing about Daniel. "Ehhm no he just didn't want any hassle tonight and he's friends with Cara and Ken, he cares about them", Luke said trailing off.

We were walking out of the building as I looked back to make sure no one else saw us.
"God do we really have to walk back to the hotel", Luke complained. "Cara is missing ! Don't you care about her we need to get back ! Cop on Luke", Daniel shouted at him in annoyance. We were a bit shocked at him lashing out on his bestfriend but James was the most shocked and even more confused.
"What about Ken?", James said curiously. "Yeah him too whatever just come on", Daniel snapped. James raised an eyebrow at Luke.

Lauren's POV

After a few minutes of awkward silence and walking we reached the hotel and Daniel lead us to the secretary. "Hi sorry miss, but ehm, have you seen a girl around this girls height maybe a slight bit taller ", Daniel explained to the receptionist as he pulled me over to show her. "She has bright brown hair, blue eyes she's absolutely gor - ", Daniel paused for a minute and smirks grew across our faces. Except James', he kept that confused look. "Gor - eight at gymnastics, yeah, yeah she could have done like an aerial across the hall. Yeah you probably didn't miss her and Courtney here flipping down the hallways. Hahah, did you know they are all round international champions, they might even have their own wikipedia page some day. Isn't that right Courtney", Daniel failed to cover up as he put his arm around Courtney's shoulder and forced a smile.
Courtney removed his hand, put it by his side and stepped up to the counter. "Aheh yeah sorry miss but could we by any chance have a look at the CCTV footage?", Courtney politely asked. "I'm sorry ma'am but I'm afraid we can't do that", the secretary tried to say nicely. Courtney smiled in annoyance. "Listen ma'am", Courtney mocked and did a mockingly shrug. "You're going to show us those tapes or there is going to be serious trouble. Never know, tomorrow someone might be checking them looking for you", Courtney smiled victoriously and rested her head on her shoulder for a moment.
The secretary looked at her defeated and showed us to the room. "Intimidation Daniel, not stupidity", Courtney mocked as she patted Daniels shoulder and followed the secretary.
Luke and I looked at each other and chuckled before we followed Courtney.
