(Lee's POV)

This reminded me of my old bite. After looking over Rocky's injury, I was sure that she was now infected. She looked up at me with a distressed look. She knew the options that now layed on the table.
Rocky looked at the one instrument that could end this whole thing. A just-cleaned blade that was just sharpened. It stayed on the table, it's shiny blade making her uncomfortable.
"Lee, can you come over here for a second?" Alvie asked from the front of the store. I left Clem and Kenny with Rocky and stood beside Alvie, "Something wrong?" I asked.
He nodded slightly, gesturing me to follow him, "Yeah, I need someone to help me patrol." He said, loud enough for the others to hear. He's acting weird.
We walked a little farther from the store. Alvie broke the silence between us first, "I don't think she's infected." He blurted out. I raised an eyebrow, "How? We saw the Walker blood in the wound. She's showing signs of the infection."
Alvie shook his head, "But it's been two hours already. To be Frank, Lee, she would've been either already sick, passed out, or even dead." I winced as my mind wandered to the old hotel.
When we saved that Professor from the bear trap by cutting his legs off, he died once we brought him to the hotel. Not even five minutes later, he became a Walker, trying to kill Katjaa. I put a hand on my neck, rubbing my sore spots, "I know, but should we be at least precautious? I mean, we don't need a Walker with a katana trying to swing our heads off."
"I don't know, Lee. She's not showing the signs anymore. She mainly looks terrified, cause she knows what has to happen." Alvie responded. "Al, we may have to---" I was interrupted by the rustling in the bushes across from the store.
Before seeing what it was, it's moans were heard. Fuck! Alvie and I ran back inside the store as he warned everyone of the Walkers. Clem and Kenny grabbed what they could and packed their belongings.
Rocky winced as she stood up, but she could stand without assistance. But we need to be fast. I looked at Alvie, and I guess we had the same idea cause he walked over and picked Rocky back up.
Clem and Kenny grabbed of what remained of our gear. Clearing the backdoor, we ran out to the open. We made a run for the woods a couple meters away.
Alvie set Rocky against a tree as Clem, Kenny and I searched the area for any Walkers. "Rocky, don't." Alvie said, sounding a little worried and nervous. "Rocky!" He exclaimed as I ran back to them.
Clem and Kenny ran back, holding their weapons and resting their fingers on the triggers. I knew what they were thinking, Please don't let her turn already.
Instead, we ran to Alvie to find him looking up with his arms crossed, tapping his foot, "Rocky!" We all looked up to see an injured Rocky climbing the tree.
She sat on a thick branch, tying herself to the tree. Her legs and chest to the tree, her gear hung above her branch. "I'm sleeping up here, where no Walker will get me, so there!"
Alvie groaned, "Ugh, teenagers!" Clem raised an eyebrow, "You were one too." Kenny looked at me, "It's not that bad of an idea, to be honest." Kenny grabbed his rope and climbed, settling himself in the tree as well.
"And you were too." Alvie countered. Clem gave him the 'really' face, "That's the best comeback you got?" She climbed the tree beside Kenny and Rocky as Alvie groaned in defeat.
"Are all women like this!?" He exclaimed. I nodded, "Pretty much. If you can't beat them, join them." I answered and climbed. Alvie sighed and joined us up. After making sure I was tied down, I fell asleep.
