BELIEVE THE WALKING DEAD

Chapter 2: Glass cuts

Joshua gets the supplies out of the car and stands there just starring. "You girls go ahead... I'll just stay here." He says.

"Whatever. Just.... Don't get hurt" Alyssa tells him.

He gets back in the car just as Alyssa and I walk off to the gate to shut it. Alyssa reaches for the combination lock to lock the gate but I stop her and shake my head.

"We don't know if it is safe to lock the gate yet."

She leaves the lock and I check for the combination. 5102, I need to remember 5102. I sprint up to Alyssa. She seems focused on a certain house. Her old house.

"Did you even check the combination?" I ask her.

"No."

"The combination is 5102."

We don't say anything until we reach her old house. All the windows are boarded up, but the front door is wide open. Alyssa walks in first then I'm walk in right behind her, gripping my hammer in my right hand. I glance at the family room and see a person lying on the ground. A biter is bent over the person. Both are wearing military armor. But you could easily tell they weren't in the military. I snuck up begin the biter and dug my hammer into its head. Then I did the same to the man on the floor. After I finished I glanced at the table and saw a silenced assault rifle and a pistol silencer. I sling the assault rifle over my shoulder then put the pistol silencer on the fast-action hand gun that Alyssa gave me earlier. Then I check the dead people for supplies. One of them had a half empty box of pistol ammo and the other had 3 full assault rifle clips.

Alyssa and I clear out the building and drag the dead bodies out into the street. Then Alyssa gets Joshua from the car. Joshua sets the bag of food Dow on the counter in the kitchen. Then he sits down on the couch. Alyssa and I walk out and go to the next house to clear out the rest of the neighborhood. It's more like a cove though, not a neighborhood. The door on the next house is locked so we start checking windows. Alyssa raises her axe to smash a window but stops when she realizes that the noise of shattering glass will just attract biters, but I notice a window that has already been broken. And its big enough to crawl through if we are careful.

"Alyssa there is a window." I whisper as I walk to the broken window.

Alyssa follows behind me. I take the assault rifle of my back and hand it to Alyssa. Then I carefully crawl through the window, a shard of glass cuts my left arm but I ignore it. Then I motion for Alyssa to give me the assault rifle. Once I have the assault rifle I put I back on my back. Then Alyssa crawls in. J wander into the living room just as I her Alyssa yell.

"DAMNIT!"

I run over to the window just as Alyssa falls to the ground. I look at her leg and notice that she has a huge shard of glass stuck just below her right knee. I slowly pull the shard out. Then I throw it at a biter that was leaning on a counter in the kitchen and the biter falls to the ground. I notice another biter lying on the floor next to the stares. It's appears to have once been a woman, but I cant realm say for sure because her face is rotten. Then i look up and on read the names that were written in blood on the wall. 'August, Sylvia, Amy'

Joshua is standing at the shattered window staring at us in shock. I look up at him.
