I looked at my phone and saw Alex sent me another d.m. I got excited and got ready for our conversation.

Hey Adia, how's it going?

Oh you know, it's going good.

That's good. We're still in the area and I was wondering if you'd like to meet for lunch.

I started jumping up and down and silently squealing.

Where would you like to meet?

That coffee shop by where you live.

That's the coffee shop where Holly works at and she's working right now.

That sounds fine. What time?

Twelve?

Sounds fine. See you in thirty minutes.

Wait, it's that close?

No, it's in like twenty nine minutes now.

Fuck.

I giggled and put on my hat and combat boots. I was wearing a t shirt and jeans.

I left my apartment and walked to the coffee shop. It wasn't busy today but there was open mic and Holly was carrying a tray.

"Adia, what are you doing here?"

"Just came to see my partner." I replied smiling.

She squinted her eyes at me and handed me a menu.

"Here you go," She bended over and whispered in my ear. "bitch."

I gasped and kicked her in the butt. I laughed and she shook her head. "Just tell me when you're ready to order."

"Okay."

I was looking at the menu and footsteps walked to me. I looked up and Alex Gaskarth was standing there smiling at me.

"Hi Adia."

"Hey Alex."

I smiled and I heard Holly gasp. Alex and I looked at her and she had the biggest smile on her face.

"Oh my god." I mumbled. Alex sat down and he smiled at Holly.

"Hey Holls."

She squealed and Alex chuckled. "Don't laugh at her, she's really doing the most." I told him.

He laughed at me and said, "I'm starting to think that you're abusive to her."

"Only when she wants me to be." I winked at him and Holly walked over.

"I already know what you want to drink and eat." She told me. "What would you like Alex?"

"Coke and a chicken sandwich."

"I'll be back with your drinks." She walked away and it was only Alex and I.

"So, how have you been?" I asked.

"Pretty good. We played last night in a city about two hours away."

"Yeah, I saw. Holly and I stayed in. I was partying a couple nights ago."

"I know, I saw you there."

"Oh yeah, you were there!"

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend."

"She wasn't my girlfriend, she's my boss. She was going through tough times with her girlfriend and I took her out for her to have fun. She never really goes out and it was my duty as her co-worker and friend, to help her."
