CHAPTER 6

..Nandini inhaled the sweet aroma of pumkin she just made and blinked her eyes in excitement. She unwrapped the pallu from her waist and smiled clapping her hands..
..Nandu:- Ban gayi kaddu ki sabzi..haa reh bappa..malum hai mereko ush Gadhe ko kaddu pasand nahi hai..par pehle baar maine itne pyaar sai banaya..khayega kyu nai ( She said and packed the pumkin for Manik..)
..She came outside with Tiffin in her hand when Harsh blocked her way. She made a disgusting look and turned away from him
..Harsh:- I know..tum Manik ki biwi Niti nahi hoh..( He said and Nandu stopped in mid trying to calm her anger)
..Harsh:- I'll expose you soon ( He warned and Nandini turned to him showing a fake smile )
..Nandu:- Mai darti nai tere sai samjha..joh karna hai kar..bawrat ( She muttered angrily and left while Harsh clenched his fist in anger)
..Nandini reached office and barged towards Manik's cabin with tiffin in her hand. Without bothering to knock she entered and her smile faded away as she saw a girl clinging close to Manik.
..She was in tears as she saw Manik hugging her tightly. He broked the hug and cupped her face gently. Nandu made a crying baby face and left wiping her tears..
.." Are mereko kya..mai toh sirf kaam karti hai uske liye..( She said and wiped her tears placing the tiffin back in kitchen )
.." Mereko kya..woh kisi sai gale pade ya pao pade..mat roh Nandu( She said and bursted out even more wiping her tears and nosy )
.." Aaj bed mai tum nahi..mai sounga ( Manik said teasing her while she quietly took her pillow and went to the balcony closing the door behind him )
.." What happened to her ( He thought as he saw her already fast asleep in the balcony )
..Manik tried to apply sindoor to her in morning. But she herself applied and left the room without saying anything..
..Manik:- Ni baby..let's go shopping today ( He exclaimed trying to cheer her up but she turned her face away)
..Manik:- Shopping kai saath..movie..pani puri and lots of fun ( He said gazing at her but she didn't looked at him for once )
..Nandu:- Daadi..mereko sar dard hoh hai..mai jaa rahi hai ( She whispered and left while Manik sadly gazed at her. He was confused at her sudden sad behavior )
..Manik:- Tum aajkal mujhe ignore kyu kar rahi hoh ( He asked clutching her arms while she turned away from him )
..Nandu:- Tujhe kya..tu jaa na ush titli kai paas. Meri chinta kaiko karta hai ( She said and he made a confused look. She tapped her feet angrily and left while he was still scratching his head in confusion )
..It was Sunday and Nandu was still in horrible mood. Manik tried several times talking to her but unfortunately she always ignored him. Nandu was busy cooking when door bell rang. She opened the door only to find the same girl smiling at her..
..Nandu:- Daat mat dikha..bol kya kaam hai ( She asked coldly and she made a confused look )
..Girl:- Actually mai Manik sai milne aayi thi..umm you must be Niti right ( She asked and Nandu wrapped her arms around her chest )
..Nandu:- Unki dharam patni..unki ardhangini..unki parvati..unki rukmini..woh mere suhaag..mere sindoor..mere kalash..mere sab kuch samjhi ( She shouted and girl widened her eyes in shock)
..Meanwhile Manik came and hugged the girl tightly. Nandu made a crying look and Manik made a what look. This time Nandu lost her temper and she shouted
..Nandu:- Mai apki dharam patni..apki kya teri! Teri lambi umar kai liye..karwa chaut ka wrat rakhti hai..bhooki pyaasi bas tere liye dua karti hai..( She said dramatically and turned away from her while baa and daadi too joined them )
..Nandu:- are mai toh tere liye yamraj sai bhi ladne ko tayyar hai..aur tu yeh sala deh raha hai ( She cried pointed at girl three times like daily soap queen )
..Dadi:- Oye golu..meri puttar roh kyu rahi hai ( She asked coldly glaring at Manik and to the girl )
..Baa:- Damad jee ( She putted her hands on waist while Nandu bursted out even more )
..Nandu:- Kya kami reh gayi thi..mere kaddu ki sabzi mai..huh mere pyaar mai kya kami reh gayi thi..joh meri sautan ko uthaa laye ( She cried and Baa and Dadi made a hayoo rabba wala look )
..Manik:- Hoh gaya drama ( Finally he uttered and Nandu wiped her tears and clutched her mangalsutra )
..Nandu:- Bas..mai keh deti hai..mai apna sindoor or apna mangalsutra kisi kai saath nai bategi..kisi kai saath bhi nahi ( She cried and Manik tapped his head hard)
..Manik:- Dadi..aap ishe bhool gayi..Yeh Sia..bua ki beti..meri behennn! ( He said and all turned jerkly towards him while Sia showed her teeths )
..Sia:- Daadi..remember mai 7 saal ki thi jab aapse last time mili thi..I'm no sautan wautan yaar come on bhabhi don't cry ( She laughed and Nandu wanted to hid somewhere in corner )
..Nandu:- Sun naa..mereko maaf karde..mereko malum nai thaa ( She whispered lowly while Manik was reading a random novel. She poked him but he turned away coldly. She sniffed and felt on his feet )
..Nandu:- Pleaz pleaz..maaf karde..aage sai yesha nai karegi..Tu joh bolega wahi karegi tu naraz mat hoh ( She cried and Manik picked her up cupping her face )
..Manik:- It's okay..tuhme puchna chahiye thaa naa pehle..khud sad hoh gayi naa( He said and she wiped her nosy in his tee and hugged him tight )
..Nandu:- Pakka aage sai yesha nai karegi..par tu bhi yeshe kisi aur sai jyada chipak mat ( She cried and Manik ruffled her hair lightly )
..Nandu:- Are haa..tu chal..taza taza kaddu ki sabzi banake degi mai ( She smiled and Manik made a no face. She pouted and he helplessly nodded in yes. She smiled and happily drag him away with her.. )
..Sia ( you all can imagine Shanaya Irani as Siya) received call in balcony. She was happily talking over phone sipping coffee
..Sia:- Yup..everyone is fine..Manik bhai and Niti bhabhi..ghoss she is dramatic but yeah sweet+ cute ( She said and heard chuckle from other side )
..Voice:- Tu sirf Manik kai bare mai bolna..how's my manik ( She asked desperately and Sia made a confused look)
..Sia:- Cool..and you know woh bhabhi sai kafi pyaar karte hai ( She exclaimed and there was pause in other side )
..Voice:- My designing course is over. I'm coming there..to meet my Manik ( She said and Sia smiled )
..Sia:- Ohh great..then Ni bhabhi aur dusre family..( Before she could complete call was disconnected. She shrugged in confusion and left to her room )
..Nandu:- Are..aakhri..ek aakhri ( She pleaded and Manik took last bite and sighen in relief. She wiped his lips and made him drink water. She sat beside him and started a random topic )
..Sia:- Bhai..guess what Veebha..V is coming here..soon ( She exclaimed and Manik's smile faded away. He clutched Nandu's arm tightly while she gazed him confusingly)
..Sia left and Nandu too grabbed the plates and was about to leave when Manik held her arms and played with her pallu with low face..
..Nandu:- Kya hua tereko ? Pet mai gadbad hai..churan lau ( She asked and Manik cupped her face stroking them lightly )
..Manik:- Mujhe aur kaddu ki sabzi khani hai..tuhmare haatho sai ( He said and her eyes twinkled like stars )
..Nandu:- Aaila..itna acha bana hai kya ( She said and immediately served the kaddu for him and started feeding him again..)
..She was blabbering on how she made her special kaddu while he was blankly staring at her still clutching her pallu tight..
