Chapter 5

It's been almost 5 weeks since A sent Ezra that message, the appointment with the Doctor was today. We were going together for the first time  and after that we were meeting with my parents... I did tell them I was back together with Ezra but I still didn't tell them I was pregnant with his baby. Ezra and I had talked about this moment forever. Making a good plan to tell my parents, my mom would probably be fine with it but I wasn't sure about my dad and brother.

"Are you ready" Ezra asked me. "I think so, do you have that address from the restaurant we are meeting my family in?" "Yes." "Let's go then." I was 13 weeks pregnant and I wasn't showing that much yet. Of course my belly was bigger than before but you could just say that I gained weight. We drove to the hospital and went in. We waited in the waiting room together when I saw someone familiar walking down the hallway. "Aria? Ezra? What are you guys doing here." I had hoped she didn't see me. "Mom" I stood up "we were... Why are you here?" "It's your dad, he got in an accident this morning. He just got some stitches, the doctor called he would wake up soon. I wanted to be there when he did so I went to the hospital. I was just going to call you but I see you're already here." I saw her staring at my belly. I began to feel awkward. "Did you gain weight" she asked. Oh god... I should have worn a sweater this morning. "Yea, we need to talk about that too" I rolled my eyes. "Aria Montgomery." Crap... Couldn't I just be lucky for one time. My mom looked confused before a big smile appeared on her face. "You're going to tell me everything after you're done doing that scan, now go. Your dad is on the 3rd floor room number 7." I smiled while saying goodbye and walked after Doctor Green.

"I haven't met you before, I'm Doctor Green." "I'm Ezra Fitz, her boyfriend and father of this child" he said proudly. I smiled. "Ah, the proud father. Well Aria you know what we are doing. If you'll lay down again, I'll get the scanner." I laid down and Ezra sat next to me, he looked nervous and proud at the same time. "Your baby is still perfectly healthy and at the next appointment we can figure out the gender." Ezra was looking at the screen. "Wait, that is our baby" Ezra said pointed at the tiny little human on the screen. "Yes it is Mr. Fitz" the doctor said. "Oh my god, it's so tiny! I hope it's a little girl" he looked at me "what do you want?" "I don't know, I've always imagined a little Fitzie in my family." "Sorry to interrupt your cute little family moment but here's a date for the next appointment! I'll see you then." He gave us a card with the date on it. "Thank you, I'll see you then!"

After our appointment we went upstairs to my dad. "Do you think your mom told your dad?" "I don't know, she is so unpredictable. She seemed happy about it" I said. "Yes, she did."

We walked into the room. Before I could say anything my brother hugged me. "Congratulations Ar, so do you already know if I'm going to have a little niece or nephew" Mike asked. I laughed "I'm only 13 weeks pregnant Mike. So I suppose you take it as good news" I asked my family. "When did this all start again? If your 13 weeks pregnant right now, how is it possible you started seeing Ezra again like 8 weeks ago" my mom asked me. I told them a whole different story, I told them I bumped into Ezra, helped him with the book and after that we started dating again. I was blushing. "Yea... Uhm well, mom this is not something I want to talk about with you. This is something I talk about with my friends. It just happened and we're happy. So how are you dad?" "I'm okay, just a few stitches. Did you two find a name for the baby already?" "We actually didn't think about that yet." "Well, maybe you should. In a few months you'll have a little baby, and I can tell you those months go by really fast" my mom said "I remember when I was pregnant with you." She smiles at my dad. "Oh that time you told me" he said "your mom and I loved this band, we were going to a concert and at the end they asked her on stage. Turned out she had asked them to do this, it was one of the best days of my life!" I laughed, remembering how Ezra found out. He obviously was thinking about that too. "You're soon going to experience the morning sicknesses, I promise you it's all worth it in the end. I mean look at you, all grown up" my mom said taking me and Mike in a hug. "Oh I think she already experienced those... She had been throwing up for the last weeks." My parents just laughed at his comment. "I'm tired" my dad said. "You just woke up" said Mike. "Well, Ezra and I are going back, we'll plan dinner another time! Goodbye." I kissed my parents on their cheeks and gave Mike a hug before getting in the car with Ezra.

Having sex is one thing, getting pregnant is another thing. What's next? Losing the baby?

"Ezra..." I showed him the text "we need to do something, right now." "Aria calm down." "How am I supposed to calm down?! Ezra, this A.D. person wants to kill our baby. I can't stay calm" I screamed at Ezra. "Aria, hey" he took my face in his hands "look at me, I will do everything to protect you and this baby. Listen, I love you Aria." By the time he said that I was silently crying. "Don't cry, don't cry Ar. You're going to be okay." He gave me a hug and I rested my head on his chest. "I'm sorry" I said my head still on his chest "these hormones are killing me..." He kissed the top of my head "it's okay, want some chocolate?" "Yes" I said kissing him "you're the best boyfriend ever." "I'm doing my best, wanna watch a movie" he said taking the chocolate bar. So we laid in each time others arms on the couch watching the old black and white movie we have watched over a million times... But I was with Ezra and that was all that mattered.
