Chapter 3

Alice's P.O.V.

I took a gun out of the backseat of the car.Of all days,the blackjacks had chosen a saturday night to challenge us.We had already agreed to not trespass each other's ground.Seriously though,why can't they stay home and watch netflix or order pizza or something.Sheesh.

I wore my grey sweatshirt and put up the hoodie over my head,only letting my blonde bangs to drop firmly under the hoodie.I loaded my gun and Eli took out some spare ones and put it on the eeat.

"Start the engine."I barked.I clearly didn't like gang wars,but they really get me boiling after picking on the people in the city.They obviously is challenging us.

The city is too small for two gangs.

I shall show them who's boss tonight.

Just then,the first gunshot came.

Eli swore out loud and his hazel eyes were burning with anger.He rolled down the window and started aiming towards the car behind.They were just right behind us.

I rolled down my side of the window and aimed.Quickly,I shot the guy on the passenger seat.Blood was splattered on the inner part of the windscreen.I have to admit,I'm a pretty good shooter.

I shot towards the car continously without missing.

Edmund concentrated on driving on high speed while Eli and I aim at the car.The blackjacks also had skilled shooters and did the same action as us.The blackjacks are a really big gang who ruled the city a few years ago.That is,when we hadn't started this gang.

Edmund did a 360° spin and turned around on the road and Eli took the opportunity to poke his head and gun out to shoot at them violently.It was midnight but that didn't stop us.

The driver was shocked at the spin and just went straight but one of the guys managed to get a clear shot.He pulled the trigger and I dodged it.The bullet didn't stop swirling in the air till it hits Eli's shoulder.

Oh no.This couldn't be good.

"Ouch." Eli grunted.

"Oh my god,Eli are you okay?"my eyes full of worries.

"Yeah."Eli replied and smiled bitterly at me.

"Let's go back to base."I suggested.

Edmund nodded and made a left turn.

The base was located somewhere further and hidden in the city.It was an abandoned alley which nobody would even bother to notice.

He drove into the alley and parked at the dead end.Eli opened the door with his left hand and held his
shoulder.Edmund opened the door and locked the car and keyed the passcode in.

We went in and the steel door closed itself.I turned our bookcase and went in.Eli lied on the sofa and I took the first-aid kit out.I passed it to Edmund and plopped down in the other sofa.

Eli then took off his sweatshirt revealing his beautiful-lined abs.

This wasn't the first time we got hurt so thankfully Edmund had gained experience through out and also,Mark had thought us when we were juniors in-

"That hurt man."Eli screamed out.

"Shhh."Edmund shushed him and focused on cleaning the wound.I took out the needle and thread.We always kept some just in case.

"Ow!"he screamed once again.

"Can you please stop screaming like a girl?My eardrums are gonna break."he yelled.

I sat down straight and turned on the TV.Eli went to his room after Edmund had done bandaging his right shoulder.

"Hey,you hungry?"his stomach growled.

"The fridge is empty."I said not looking away from the TV.

"Fine.Chinese or pizza?"he didn't even botger giving me other choices because I would choose only between this two.

"Pizza."

"You order this time."he threw his phone at me.I caught it and glared at him.

After ordering the pizza,I took my hair out from the sweatshirt which I previously tucked in.My eyelids started closing itself."Maybe I should sleep until the pizza arrives."I mumbled to myself and fell asleep...

Edmund's P.O.V.

My sister just slept at the couch.She didn't even bothered to go into her room.I walked out of the living room and called my mom.

"Hello?"the other side of the line spoke groggily.

"Hey mom its me."

"Oh."

"Are you two alright?"

"Yeah.Did you wait for us again?"my words full with empathy.

I sighed.

"Honey,don't worry.I went to sleep already.I was waiting for you two and fell asleep earlier."

"Okay mom.Alice is with me so don't worry and go to sleep then."

"Have fun then.Good night."

"Night."

She ended the call.I guess she thought it was one of those parties I guess.Oh well.

'Ding Dong...'the bell rang.

"Right on time."I grinned.

I snatched the pizza from the pizza man and gave him the tip.

"Hey sis,pizza's here."I tried waking her up but unsurprisingly.....failed.

"Hey Eli,I have pizza,come on down."I didn't even bother to whisper.Alice sleeps like a log when she sleeps.

Eli came running down and started munching on the cheesy pizza.

After eating,I took of Alice's sneaker.I put a fleece blanket on her.She was sleeping peacefully on the couch and didn't want to wake her up.

I went up into my room and sleep came quickly.
