After Shigure was rescued by Leo, many rumours had been spread throughout the castle of bad intent toward Takumi, calling it a set up and other things. While Leo denied all of it, he didn't exactly attempt to cease the misinformation from spreading. A quite frankly, Takumi was really pissed off by this, but you convinced him to hold it in and not let it get the best of him.
Small pellets of hail started to fall from the sky, plinking against the windows. You gazed out of the window, nose pressed against it. Takumi was in a plush red chair, trying to distract himself by reading a book, but he still had his 'angry face' on. The window fogged up from your breath and you drew a smiley face on it, then flopped onto your bed, practically getting sucked in my the large puffy duvet covers. You let out a sigh. The castle felt as if the emotions switched from bustling and happy to gloomy."Takumi," You mumbled. "I'm going to visit Xander. I need to ask him about how that bandit breached the defence."
Takumi let out an agreeing noise, like 'hrm', which you took for an OK.
You walked down the quite hallways, getting nods of respect from the servants rather than the usual "Hello milady!" Walking down the creaky steps felt as if you were making a racket and when you came to the carpeted hallways it felt like a miracle had occurred. As you came up to the large reddish wooden door of the throne room, you suddenly felt a surprising feeling of fear. He was your brother after all.
You pressed your palms against the door and held them there for a bit before pushing them open, reveal Prince, no, King Xander sitting on his throne, looking rather bored until he saw you and stood up. You walked in.
"Sister," Xander asked with the familiar stern look on his face. "What is it that you came here for?"
You out your index finger up to your lip. "Xander. How did one bandit breach the entire defence?" You couldn't exactly be mad at him, but you were still upset even though the whole ordeal was over.
"I'm deeply, deeply sorry for what occurred earlier today. Many of our soldiers are at their homes celebrating Truciertide." Xander said with a tone of guilt tracing his words.
"That's no excuse. You should have only let some of them go home. Our family is important too!" You said faultily.
"I know it was childish and naïve to think this way but.. I thought maybe those sort of foul people would even carry the Truciertide spirit."You looked at him suspiciously and walked out of the throne room, leaving a small trail of dirt from your boots on the carpet. From the corner of your right eye you could see a couple of maids come out from behind the pillars holding up the intricately designed ceiling to clean up your mess that you left behind. As you walked up the stairs, lost in thought, and accidentally tripped over your own left foot and fell forward on your face. You got up and your nose was still in pain. You walked back to your room with your hand still on your nose. You slightly lifted up your hand and saw a small amount of red liquid. Your nose was bleeding. As you walked into your room, grabbed a handkerchief and put it up to your nose, Takumi looked up at you with horror and shock on his face.
"DID THAT NOHRIAN SCUM PUNC-" Takumi yelled, until you stopped him with: "No Takumi. I just tripped on the stairs. And try to keep your voice down, we are in the Nohrian Palace after all." He looked at you and you could tell he didn't fully believe you. He sat back down in the chair. You opened your closet and pulled out a lacy, black gown that had purple ribbons streaming from the side. "Takumi, you should get dressed. We have an hour till the feast." You stated
He stood up walked over to his bag and pulled out some Nohrian clothes you had packed for him.
"Do I really have to wear this?"
"Yes."
