In my vague memory I hear you whisper words you won't ever say againThrough my clouded eyes I still see the smile I long for now and then
Somehow I can still hear your laughter ringing in my ears
It's funny how a person can drown but not die in her own tears
I always wonder what you could have been
There's so many great things you could have done and seen
I wonder how this world still goes on without you
When the moment you ceased breathing I thought it stopped too
When it came to me that I might forget your face someday
The way you speak and the things you would always say
How you act and all those little things you do
It pains me just by thinking that one day I'll forget you
Each day passes by just like any other day
I go to sleep with a wish that I can never say
And each morning I wake up brings such dismay
Knowing I'll face life without you another day
