I try so hard to find
the beauty in me
I strive to be pretty
not only physically
But often times
the exterior is all they see
No one cares at all
for the beauty within me
Not everyone can see
this ugliness in me
For I tried so hard to hide it
so no one can see
These things I know
I should never be
Sometimes I cannot bear
such ugliness in me
