[Areum's POV]
Day 2/21

On the way to school, I met Joshua in the bus again. "Hello, Areum. I hope Mingyu's appearance yesterday didn't scare you." I released a short laugh.

[Flashback]

"It's nice to see you again, Joshua Hong Jisoo." A sly smirk was formed on Mingyu's face. His eyes showed mischief.

"Perhaps, Areum might want to know more than what she has heard from Angel Joshua..." I gulped as Mingyu looked at me with his orbs the colour of a mixture of brown & red.

"Joshua, what is he talking about?" I whispered. I shifted closer to Joshua, feeling uncomfortable with the way Mingyu eyed me. "Angel's right, Areum, I am good at hiding. You two can't even spot me." Mingyu chortled with his deep voice.

Mingyu is the demon.

"We should go, Joshua..." The dread in me could be shown through the tone of my voice. "Yes. We should go." Joshua spoke sternly and shot Mingyu a glare. Then he grabbed my wrist gently, pulling me along with him as we walk away.

"Joshua." I could see the anger in him through his back view. His shoulders rise up and down continuously as if he is panting. But of course, he isn't, we weren't running.

"Joshua." I raised my voice a little higher. He ignored me, until we reached the entrance of the school. "Josh, are you okay?" I asked when Joshua released his grip on my wrist.

Then Joshua formed a grin. "Josh?" He chuckled. "What's wrong? Does that name bring you bad memories? Oh, I'm so sorry, I won't call you that again."

"Hey, hey, calm down. It doesn't affect me in a bad way. I find it cute that you call me that. You're so adorable." He tousled my hair. Blood rose up to my cheeks as I turned crimson red in embarrassment. "Call me that again." My cheeks went into a darker shade of red.

"Alright, now listen to me." The serious tone of his returned. "Watch out for Mingyu. He can be dangerous. And a flirt at times too." "How dangerous can he be?"

"He once tore out a part of a girl's flesh in a forest." Joshua scowled.

Tore out... part of a girls's flesh... a forest...

Why does this remind me of the memory of the incident I saw in the forest Dad used to bring me to?

Could it be Mingyu that I saw that night?

Why does these two seem to be similar to how Dad was killed?

"Areum, are you okay? What's bothering you?" I snapped into reality when Joshua's hand brushed against mine. "No, I'm fine. Nothing's bothering me." Then I gasped when two muscular arms wrap themselves around my waist.

"Something is definitely bothering you. Don't worry, you have me. You can tell me anything." A low-pitched voice I recognised as Mingyu's whispered into my ear.

"What are you doing here?" Joshua's tone became fierce. "Comforting my girl." I stayed frozen on my spot as Mingyu's arms still rested around me. "Keep your distance from her." Joshua pulled me out of Mingyu's arms. But Mingyu managed to keep his grip on my right wrist. "I'll see you tonight, Babe." He winked, then vanished into the air.

His last words gave me fright as goosebumps crawled down my spine.
