S•E•V•E•N - 변화 - Change

[Areum's POV]

A loud thunder was heard and the room went dark. The candles were out in a second, like a strong breeze had blown them out. It was pitch black. No noises could be heard as well, except for the sounds of water droplets hitting the rooftop of the castle. A vehement breeze hit me and the thunder roared once more.

I inched closer to the demon next to me, my grip on his forearm, as my arms and legs started to shake from fear.

The candles were lit once again, and I could see.

I raised my head up to examine my surroundings, and there, meters in front of Mingyu and I, was a huge silhouette in black.

I gulped, chills of fear crawled down my arms and I shivered. However, I could not pin out what this dark silhouette has that frightens me so much.

I craned my neck and my orbs met with Mingyu's. And it shocked me to see that Mingyu's eyes were showing dread. My gaze shifted towards his other hand that hung by his side, it was shaking.

There wasn't much fear that I could see in him at the moment, but I have not seen Mingyu feeling vulnerable at all.

"She's here, Father."

I was flabbergasted once more, when Mingyu pulled on my arm that once held his forearm. And he pushed me forward, towards the figure.

The figure then approached me.

Strangly, I couldn't get a clear view of his countenance.

He stretched an arm out, the rough surface of his skin coming into contact with the skin of my cheek.

He gently caressed my cheek, and I now could see only a smirk on his face.

He stepped backwards and looked at Mingyu.

"You know what to do, my son..." His voice was very husky, to the point where it made me flinch. I hurried back, hiding behind Mingyu as I breathed heavily.

"Yes, Father." The loud boom of a thunder once again, scared me and Mingyu's father disappeared.

I swung my head to the left, and to the right, then I looked at Mingyu who was already staring at me with the same smirk his father had a moment ago.

"What was that? Why would you bring me here? It has only been five days!" I exclaimed softly in fear, almost tearing up at the thought of what I might go through in the near future.

He scoffed, "That angel gave you the wrong information. Come on." And he walked off. I hesitantly followed him, examining the walls of this castle.

Huge drawings of people were hung on these walls. And as I walked pass them with Mingyu, it felt as if the eyes of these people were staring at me.

I had no idea where Mingyu was taking me, but I soon came to realize that it was his room, an extremely spacious one.

I sighed in relief and plopped on to the chair closest to me.
