[Flashback ㅡ Day 3]

[Joshua's POV]

"I'll let you have Areum, in exchange for what we used to have; Friendship."

I was desperate, I missed him. I missed the times we had with each other. But I won't let go of Areum just like that. The sight of her sister bringing her to school worried me. In addition to Mingyu's intentions, my mind was just clouded with nothing but Areum.

"Deal?"

Mingyu blankly stared at me. Within the next minute, he finally decided, "Alright," and disappeared.

I let out a sigh and leaned against the wall behind me with my hands stuffed into the pockets of my jeans.

I hope I won't regret this.

Soon, I found myself in front of the beauty with a leaking pocket watch. And I warned, "Now, I know it has only been three days, but you don't have much time left. From now on, things would take a turn for the worst, so be prepared, alright?"

Her future had changed.

The 'almost inevitable' danger that was approaching her was now completely inevitable. Mingyu would definitely bring her home.

Just as the 5th Day started at 12 in the morning, I made a move. And I did not regret doing it.

It hurt, but I was doing this for Areum. And I came to realize that she was special. I would sacrifice myself for other humans and immortals too. But I've never felt this way for anyone before. Areum was the first to make me feel like this. When I think of her, hunger fills me up. I think, I have fallen for her.

With my hands and knees on the ground, I moaned, feeling weaker as the process continued. Imagining Areum by my side, reciprocating her love towards me, I found the energy to let out a chuckle. With the vision of Mingyu's pained state in my head, my lips curved into a crooked grin and began to laugh.

I decided, I will make Areum mine. And the friendship between us immortals, is no longer alive.

[End of Flashback]

I crushed the tracking device in my hand while Areum was asleep. I proceeded to the basement where I played with chemicals, creating a specific liquid that could change the way she looked at me ㅡ a love potion.

Before heading back to my room where Areum slept, I made sure to add a drop of the potion into the bowl of black ink. I wouldn't want her to be too obsessed with me.

I set the bowl on to the desk next to the bed. As I craned my neck, I noticed Areum's state. She looked angelic. I fixated my eyes on her. I don't want to look away. I never want her to leave my sight either. It's as if I had taken her love potion.

Unknowingly, my finger reached up towards her face and gently stroked her skin. So soft...

"You are finally awake." I responded when her eyelids opened. I inched closer, lifting her up so that she was sitting upright.

"I brought food for you. I'll feed you." I reached for the bowl of black ink. I lifted the spoon and looked at Areum, only to find her scowling. "You have to eat, you've been out for three days. Come on, it's good for your health too."

She pouted before parting her lips.

The corner of my lips curved up into an unnoticeable smirk as she tasted it.

I put the bowl away after she complained about the horrible taste and sat on the bed with her. The potion's effect isn't immediate and so I decided to tell her of my plan.

"Did the Angel mark her?"

I leaned towards her, one hand on the headboard behind her while the other reaching for her cheek. "Only time can tell..." I smirked. She looked as though she was anticipating my next move.

Later, I found myself kneeling on the bed with her legs laying in the space in between my legs. I looked down at Areum and finally, ours lips are locked. I smirked at her calm state. The potion was successful in achieving its effect.

All I had to do now was to mark her so that Mingyu couldn't bring us inconvenience anymore.

With our eyes closed, in our relaxed state, our lips moved in sync.
