I stood frozen, my feet grounded in place. I could tell my mouth was slightly ajar and my mouth and throat was dry and coarse, either bile or my heart was stuck in my throat choking me. I just stood staring. It was like I was in a different body watching on, what they called an out of body experience.

After minutes of staring I heard the loud echoed clutter of something making me finally move as I jumped petrified. “Who’s t-t-there?” I stuttered in a small voice, struggling to breathe. I could hear the footstep growing closer to my cubicle until I heard it.

BANG!

“Who is it?” they asked my heart fell as I took in a shaky breath. It was only Sam; a girl who lived on my street, I opened the door slightly so she could see my face only “Steph?” she asked her face falling into confusement and shock the longer she looked at me and saw the state I was in.

“Hey.” I croaked pausing to lick my dry parched lips “Can you, uh, get Mr. Vincent?”

She grew even more confused “You sure you don’t want, uh, a female teacher?” she asked awkwardly.

I still had the decency to at least blush.

I laughed with no humor, a rather hysterical laugh “No. Him please. Don’t stop either. Run. Please.” She went to speak “Just trust me.” I said fear creeping into my tone, a strangle cry bubbling on the tip of my tongue.

She nodded slowly than turned running. Stiffly I closed the door behind me and put the seat down on the toilet I sat on it sitting my head in my knees trying to catch my breath as I shook and trembled, taking deep breaths as I tried to find sort of sanity.

Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God.

What felt like hours later I heard the gasp of girl in other cubicles, standing up I took a deep breath for composure before I heard the knock on my cubicle door or rather bash. I opened the door to see Mr Vincent, our principal walk half run in flustered. If it wasn’t such a morbid occasion I would have laughed at his sweat patches and heaving belly that was huge as the stumpy balled man reached me. Red in the face and gasping for breath I decided to take control, I couldn’t deal with a heart attack right now, which I’m sure could possibly be on the agenda.

“Mr Vincent” I said cautiously as he walked up to me as I gestured, as much as he was exhausted it was easy to see he was feeling uncomfortable standing in a female toilets, probably even worse when he has to look inside a sanitation bin. I didn’t understand why he was exhausted though; the office wasn’t too far from here, although he was old and highly unfit.

At the end of the day that was far from what mattered.

“Here we go.” I said in a shaky mutter as I lifted up the lid.

Mr Vincent gasped as my stomach lurched again. Mr. Vincent and I looked down at the head of Georgie Walker of year eleven sitting inside the sanitation bin staring bleary eyed up at us.
